4v5.....

Why are games allowed to go on when a player disconnects for longer than 2-3 minutes? This is a competitive online 5v5 game that leads to ranked play and sponsored teams, tournaments, money, etc etc. It's is pretty much an esport yet if someone disconnects whether on purpose or not the other players have to play the game out until 15 minutes or 20 or more if people refuse to surrender.....

If someone disconnects and is gone for 2 minutes or more ANY player at ANY time should be allowed to start a vote on ending the game. That is not fair to anyone or the community when people leave a match and turn it into a 4v5. How is that fair?? It is a complete waste of time for anyone in the game and brings the community down and in my opinion is the worst part of this game.

There should be NO time requirement to surrender a match. If people vote on it then people should be able to leave and it should be a MAJORITY VOTE. Not a UNANIMOUS vote. There are always trolls that will vote no on a unanimous and force everyone to play it out. Turn the timer off on voting to surrender a match and ALWAYS make it a MAJORITY vote. 4-1 vote = game ends, 3-1 vote = game ends, 2-1 vote = game ends. I cannot even count the amount of time I've wasted because I've had to wait for the surrender timer or actually play a game out because votes weren't unanimous early on.

If someone disconnects from a match 5 or more times in a month then their account should be SUSPENDED for a month, if they do it again then SUSPENDED for 2 months. A third time means account BAN. This is a competitive online team game. If someone doesn't have the proper internet connection to play or the temperament to handle the competition and pressure of team play then they need to find a different game and stop ruining it for the people that are here to play and compete.

Also, GET RID of the report system. My goodness do people just take advantage of it. Most of the time I just mute someone that is having a bad attitude and a lot of times it leads to them disconnecting or going idle in base because no one is responding to their hate speech. If someone is hanging out in base and moving their champion enough so it doesn't trigger an AFK then they should be counted as a disconnect for being in the base at all for more than 2 minutes UNLESS one 2nd tower is down. There is NO reason for someone to be in the base area for more than 2 minutes that early in the game unless they are being forced to defend an inner tower, it should count as one of their monthly 5 disconnects that will lead to an account suspension if they are hanging out in the base (meaning anywhere inside the walled area that holds all the inhibitors, inner towers etc) that early and have no legitimate reason to be.

Seriously can we divide this game up among people that are here to play for fun and people that are here to compete??? I'm so tired of getting thrown into matches with people that are not taking this seriously and would rather waste everyone's time. There should be an option right from the very start that asks the player if they are here strictly for fun or for competing. Competition play should entail what all I have noted above. The people here for fun can have their report system and surrender timer etc etc. Competitive play should not have a report system, should not have a surrender timer, and should have suspensions and bans based on disconnects. Someone losing their cool and letting the pressure get to their head IS A PART OF COMPETITION IN ANY WALK OF LIFE. If someone has a bad attitude and others don't like it they will simply get muted. If they decide to troll play and/or disconnect/afk then people can vote out of the game early at any time in a MAJORITY vote as detailed above.

Look at these stats:

Unacceptable :/

Better idea why not allow us to surrender in champion select and only one person has to vote Yes and your entire team loses 25 lp and you also get a permaban. This is the most plastic V thing I've seen in a while. O have a toaster where I connect 2 minutes in the game but somehow and probably because I'm a Shyvana one trick, I still get ahead in levels and farm.

To be serious, there should be a pause function like in Dota. You can push f9 to pause if someone leaves. Only your team can unpause and after 1 min, anyone can. You also ahve 3 pauses per player and each player can only pause once every 5 min so if some asshole unpauses, you can have someone see pause

Get rid of the report system. Better idea. Let scripters, white supremacists, Nazis, homophobics, antisemetics, sexist assholes and trolls run rampand and ban every single player that doesn't do any of those things. Yes I've reported those who have inted and I have gotten a message saying they ahve been banned rightfully so. Also once you get to play and above, the scripters start appearing. I haven't seen a scripter in bronze silver or gold. Not that I've been that far. Its just an estimate.

Have an option at the beginning for casual or ranked. That's what normals are for. Aram, twisted treeline, urf, event gamemodes are also for that purpose.

Because the alternative, allowing games to be canceled without consequence at any time, would incentivize players to troll their teammates in order to get them to quit so they can dodge a loss. Knowing this community, that would be far worse than you having to spend another 5 minutes in a lost game because bot actually won their lane and wants to try, even though everyone else lost.

Yeah, let's turn "an opponent gets tilted and leaves" into a win condition. That won't have any negative consequences for player behavior. It's not like teams already do this without being incentivized with an instant win!

So you think it's awful if the botlane duo says "nope, we're NOT surrendering at 15 when we're winning our lane", but you don't think it would be awful to just randomly lose a match because your feeding midlane Yasuo was in a premade with top and jg, and now that they've failed to get him fed they just call a surrender vote and you get no say because they make up 3/5 of the team? How about when getting to play an actual game becomes difficult because players start performing invades every match and then quitting when it goes badly? Waiting 5 minutes to get into a match that ends in a minute thirty sounds like fun!

I have no idea if that can happen, do you? Problem is, even if it did happen, they'd just hop on their smurf and evade the punishment. The punishment system will always be a joke until Riot starts trying to combat smurfing. I know it's not easy, but there are definitely a few things that could be done to make it more difficult to smurf, at least.

Okay, but how in the world is your 12 year old teammate's immaturity an argument against the report system? If the goal is to ban immature players who refuse to play the game because they're tilted, then how is removing the report system going to move us toward that goal?

Your idea about triggering the AFK catcher by simply staying in the base for too long at a point in the game where players should not be staying in base is a good one. Personally, i'd set it to 3 minutes total before there's any reason to be defending the base, minus 15 free seconds per life because even with an item set it takes a second to grab items and get on your way out of the base. Have it trigger a "your team needs you" pop up after the first 2 minutes so noobs don't trigger Leaverbuster just by being new and not knowing what items to buy. Or simply have the check not apply to bots games so noobs have a safe place to practice getting their items quickly.

And that vote would result in what? If it's a surrender vote: great, now 3/5 players can vote so that 4/5 players can take a loss for the sake of that one asshole on the team, whom they would report, but can't because you thought it'd be a great idea to remove the report system. If it's a remake vote (no consequences): great, now matches end much earlier, with the designated quitter on each team saving his whole team a loss and preventing the other team's win by leaving. Nobody gets any wins or losses except for on rare occasions when no-one on the losing side is willing to leave.

Tryhard mode is called "ranked". Personally, I don't play much ranked because of [SUBJECT CENSORED BY BAN ON DISCUSSION OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITES], but for the same reason I don't get tilted when my team doesn't take the game seriously or just sucks.
