If i had lower ping...

Hey guys, I wanna ask a question. Do you think it would make a diffence if I play with a lower ping? Last season i was plat 5 playing at an average of 230 (some days were 180, others were 250, with lag spikes ofc). This season I was placed in silver 3 and almost gold. So do you think i can make it to plat this season? Do you think having a lower ping could get me to a higher division/league ie diamond?
