I just wanted to thank all those smurfs for completely ruining the game for me

I played ~15 games now, since i stopped in 2018, i have no other account, and the game is fucking unplayable.

There is always either trolls or smurfs completely ruining every single game I join. I had no part in any of these games, I was just being stumped upon.

Thanks to all the people who create new accounts just to bash new players. What a great experience this is for us noobs. I hope you are proud of yourselves.

And btw, I read several times that the "elite-mantra" seems to be "bla bla bla MMR sorts this out". No it fucking doesnt.

So @Riot, if you want new players and potential customers to stick around, you better do something against all these idiots who have so much fun bashing - and then even flaming - new players.

At the moment, this game is a big waste of time. My girlfriend said it'll get better after a few games, but its actually getting worse and worse.

The vast majority of people you're seeing aren't actually smurfs they're most likely one-tricks or just having a good game. When you think about how small the population of the upper ranks actually is, even finding a platinum smurf would be a rare occurrence, Not to say that It can't or doesn't happen. And if you've only played 15 games you don't understand anything about how the game works yet, It's a big game with lots of moving pieces and little things can be the difference between doing poorly and doing well. Game only starts getting really fun once you know how to play it, so Play with bots to learn your champion then play aram's to learn against real people and how to teamfight, then move up to 5v5 pvp.

Nowadays ever fed champions feels like played by smurf but believe me, meta is fuked, you have 17 kills early on or you lookin at black screen for the rest of the game

You don't see smurfs that often tbh. They usually are playing in platinum games by like the smurfs 4th or 5th game which is higher than most of the playerbases elo. And even though there are smurfs, there is a chance they will be on your team just as there is a chance they will be on your team, so over the grand scheme of things it evens out. While it sucks loosing a game knowing that the enemy team may have had a smurf, it feels good when you can take a game off and they carry. my 2 cents. It's just something we have to accept.

Nothing will be done. Riot endorses smurfing. They even hand out level 30 accounts to LPP streamers who request them.

Around 80% of player are gold or below.

Chances are that if you're facing a smurf, they're either around their MMR when they start, or above their MMR when they start, considering you start high silver low gold.

If somebody got stomped in your game, its either due to the terrible matchmaking this game has now (which somehow removing smurfs entirely wouldnt solve), or someone on your team made a mistake and the enemy snowballed, not because they're significantly better than anyone on your team.

Smurfs are not and have never been a significant problem. This entire game is a problem at this point. Matchmaking, balance, snowball, etc.

#Stop blaming smurfs for all the problems when Riot's shitty management of the game in general is the only issue.

I know this might sound backwards, but stop playing norms. Ranked has smurfs sure, but it's not NEAR as bad. Normal matchmaking is abysmal. Sure ranked will be rough starting out, but once you settle into your rank you'll get MUCH more balanced matches than Norms, in a way ranked is the casual mode.

Ignore all the responses you're getting saying they're not smurfs. Normal MM is total crap, it's pretty normal to see actual irons and diamonds mixed in the same games on their main accounts. My advice, get out of norms FAST

I think you bring up a valid concern and I don't actually think these ppl understand what you are saying although 1 person said something like "Even a Bronze/Silver would seem like Faker to you" and that's probably the most accurate thing I've read.

You have a very real and valid concern, starting off in this game is actually really tough because it's been around so long that most ppl have played for quite some time and even though there are a lot of kids who are really starting to get into league now that is a small % of the player population and most of the players that play even if they are Bronze or Silver are going to be flat out a lot better than a brand new player.

When I was a new player there were games that I lost to BOTS, I remember losing like 1 out of every 5 and thought the Annie Bot was over tuned back then lol cause it seemed to just pop off in all my games when I was new, I'll never forget that. I swear I thought Annie was the best champ in the game back then.

Anyway as long as this game as been around, the Tutorials have stayed pretty uninformitive and there really isn't a great way to learn fundamentals in this game outside of just playing and getting smashed and also getting flamed. Even the players that are New probably aren't, they are more than likely just making a alt or smurf OR they may even be a BOT just leveling a account to be sold.

The process for a new player to learn this game isn't easy and I think this is something Riot really missed out on. Now maybe Riot knows that the only new players are actually kids or something and they will play with their friends who are already playing league and the friends will help coach the person up. This is actually something pretty common and I still run into those accounts here and there but that still doesn't address the issue

Riot should've had a more informative way of describing the actual gameplay and certain requirements of the roles at least during lane phase and maybe a little afterwards.

There are some things that they can do for sure when it comes to actually preparing players BUT here's the other part, when it comes to champions and actually playing them, the only way to get better is to actually play them and I will say riot has done a really good job with giving players ways to practice a champ (i've advocated this before in other topics) since you don't actually have to queue into a Norm or Ranked game if you want to practice, you can very easily start up a practice game and just spend time working on last hitting, playing against a bot, working on how to combo the abilities, these are all things you can do to better prepare yourself going into the game with actual players.

I would recommend really doing that for a bit before norms, that way you can already have a good idea of how to play the champ and especially if you were playing against a bot (especially one of the harder bots) when you can beat those bots consistently then you are prolly ready to actually play against some of the players and begin learning the difference. As a new player you still have a certain responsibility to actually learn the champion and if you aren't feeling comfortable in norms because of smurfs or because of flame you can always practice in a setting you CONTROL which is practice mode where you can also add a BOT or Training Dummy.
