Azir after the rylai nerf

Hello there, fellow Azir players,

After the rylai nerf, Azir got minor buffs, which I find hilarious, because he still got another nerf overall. His kiting potencial just went straight down making him an easy target more than before.

But I am not here to complain about Azir nerfs, we are all used to it. We even got a small buff, which is great! But how do you build Azir now?

Maybe would work with rylais? I don't think something changed in build, we can go for rylai or just let it be and build the other way. But I am still asking because there may be something actually better.

He is not, he just takes skill to be good. Well, but now you have to play perfectly to be good after those unstoppable nerfs. Not like Yasuo who has high skill cieling as well but still has a good winrate and wrecks with little to no skills. xD Anyways, Azir is funny, so that's the reason to pick him up. But I got to admit that I don't play him that much anymore, too.

Sure, initiation without a team that will follow is just a suicide even if you kill one, trading Azir for anyone is just stupid, he can siege incredibly well and a good Azir have big influence in the game. However, if your team goes with you and you do it right and you got Zhonyas as well, it's almost always a good teamfight.

Anyways, I think this is a nerf, Azir kiting is something I love about Azir. And reducing slow by 50% is a big change, tbh. It was probably a bit strong, I agree, but 30% slow would be just fine. Anyways, I always almost build stinger -> Rylais, so now is the time I try something new, change my gameplay as well. Maybe it will be change for good for me. Anyways, he will still be very fun champion, so I will enjoy playing him.

Azir is dead until you're diamond 1 or Riot changes something. I wish I had the heart to even pick him up anymore.

See i'm not much of a rank player, sorta accidentally afk'd my first 3 games, computer issues and forgot the charger lol. But outside of ranked i win rather often with Azir, he is actually my main at the moment. I agree mistakes early game can make late game hard but not impossible, with the right build, and all mp items, he is still quite the monster late game.

The new Rylais isn't really a nerf for Azir, in my opinion. He is now able to get it in a much earlier time. There are ap mages out there though that was severely affected by this change, such as Taliyah.

PS: If you really want to carry hard, don't try to initiate using shurima shuffle and ult. Because, if you do, chances are, your teammates wouldn't follow you, unless you are well coordinated with your team. Instead, use your ult to push players who are going for you. You'll do more damage attacking from the back; you'll more likely end up winning team fights.
