Previously, I had 1284 mmr and was placed in Silver IV but then I won a 40 min game with Jhin going 11/4/18 (216 cs) and it showed that my mmr dropped to 1214 with a Silver V ranking on my placements, Is this a glitch cause all of those games I was receiving an A or an A-.

OP.GG's MMR button doesn't show your true MMR - it can't, that number isn't shared by Riot.

What OP.GG (and others) attempts to do is guess your MMR.

EDIT: So looking at yours, you have a lot of Bronze players in your games. So, knowing that the baseline for silver is 1200MMR, if you're being matched with both high bronze and low silver players, you're likely at approximately 1200MMR.

As you play more games, these sites will be able to more accurately guess your MMR, because the amount of data they have grows quickly. It not only has more matches for you, but also data on the the people you've been matched with and against.

thank you i was freaking out cause i was on a 4 game winning streak but on op.gg it was saying that my MMr was going down after every game. Probably because i was playing with my friend that's a lower rank then me

did you lose the game before that one? It seems that OP.GG estimates your MMR based upon the players that you were matched with in the most recent game. Given that Riot matches you with players of a similar MMR to you, if you had lost a game, your MMR would have dropped and Riot would then place you with other lower MMR players. OP.GG is therefore a game behind. You might find that your MMR on OP.GG will go up after your next game because Riot will have matched you with higher MMR players.

That could be completely wrong of course but it is something that I have noticed with OP.GG.

Your mastery grade has no impact whatsoever on your MMR, only if you win or lose.

Op.gg and similar are simply estimates, which are rarely exactly correct. You can even occasionally see your mmr estimates change when you don't play any games. Your MMR only goes up when you win, and only goes down when you lose. By how much will depend on the relative (true) MMR's of everyone in the game, but you'll never lose MMR for winning.
