You farming, warding, and objective participation might have been poor.
Sorry, if you want to be rewarded based on KDA go play a FPS game, this is a MOBA, objectives > ALL.

It's not always about getting the kills. Need to do lots of warding, get objections (towers, dragons, etc) and CS, especially farming those CS.
