Are there any plans for Lissandra at any point in the near future?

I've been playing Lissandra for quite some time now, and I'm just wondering if at any point there are plans to rework her or buff her so she's actually viable. Yes, you can do well as her, but to do well takes a lot of safe play against most match ups and very risky outplays. Overall, she's a weak champion who doesn't really do anything well. Even when you get ahead you're not really oppressive. To do any real damage, you essentially have to walk into 5 people, and even then the damage you put out is almost laughable. She just doesn't feel good to play, and its been like this for years.

Ok so the changes that are so far in the table:

New passive: When she kills someone they become an ice cube that slows others around them and might explode/spread to nearby enemies (they haven't released which they were doing, just what they were looking at)

E Buffs: Starts faster, but slows down, the idea being it still has the same speed to max range, but is easier to hit the damage off of. Also looking at increasing damage here

That's what they've got so far. It actually looks pretty good for her, so keep your chin up :)

That E buff is promising, being able to lane it more reliably and doing more damage would be nice. Just maybe there's a glimmer of hope after all

I know right? Tbh the changes for her look good. Out of everything I've seen recently, Lissandra is my biggest glimmer of hope.

Unlucky that they dont give her ult counterplay before buffing her. Not sure if she will even be allowed to be strong with that, similar to Malzahar

It's a stun so surely cleanse would work much like sej?

A bunch of changes are currently in work. However, her new passive requires some valuable artist time, so other changes take priority over it. Should be done fairly soon though.

Her new passive isn't really relevant though, it's almost genuinely trash. Liss doesn't have damage, so a passive where when you get a kill you do aoe is irrelevant. And I honestly feel like its a kind of nerf in the sense that with this new passive, not only are you still facing the problems where you're weak in lane and not usually relevant in game, now you have less mana than you did before.

It's not even out yet, it's way too early to say how strong the passive is going to be. Lissandra doesn't even have to get the kill to trigger it, an assist is enough.

That doesn't change her weak lane, or her lack luster damage (even when you get ahead). Yes, there are times when a Lissandra can take over a game (but thats very rare), yes that passive will be kind of useful, but unless they buff her numbers, that passive might not end up doing anything more often than it ends up helping.

Except they already said they will be lowering her mana costs basically across the board to deal with her new passive.

inb4 they lower her mana costs so much she becomes borderline broken

Lissandra is not weak. She sure as hell isn't weak when she is ahead. in fact a fed lissandra can be one of the most oppressive champs in the game.

Her AoE damage can be enough to 100-0 multiple people at once if she is fed.

The only problem lissandra has is a pretty rough laning phase but it has always been that way.

She has got nothing but buffs over the course of the last year.

Saying lissandra is weak is like saying kassadin is weak, they are extremely close statistics wise. Both have been buffed to hell throughout the preseason.

There was a red post on a new passive for her recently but it looked pretty poor to me, something like Jhin's kill passive with the mines.

Yea, its literally just a Jhin kill passive with a different name, and it doesn't really address the issues surrounding how the champion does in lane or in the game really. In a situation where a Liss is really ahead that might be somewhat relevant, but in most of the situations where she's doing no damage and still not doing anything well, it just ends up meaning on top of all that, you now have less mana than before.

they did show her new passive and it is an amazing passive since it brings a lot of utility and damage... but its only in teamfight and she is terrible in 1v1, her new passive doesnt fix that at all and even removes her former passive so she would be even worse in 1v1s
