At least some, anything at all, seriously it helps and it's not like you'd even have to sacrifice damage for it item 3156 item 3139 item 3102 so don't even try being a straight dumbass and use that excuse.

It fucking tilts me out of existence when I get people that just refuse to get the slightest bit of Magic Resist despite dying over and over and over again, like this game I just played I was fucking going bat-shit insane screaming at my "team" as they died to the premade Malphite Orianna Ult combo over and over and OVER AND OVER AGAIN, I'm just fucking glad the Jayce on my side was smart enough to get Magic Resist so we could carry 2v5.

Fuck clueless morons like that team, my fucking god.

A Vast chunk of players are using guides and have 1 'core' build that they never really stray from. You also have a TON of players wanting to try out 'different' builds so they can gauge effectiveness. In both these cases, your average player will probably not substitute items, even if it is a good idea.

Reasonable Guy, "Hey, I see that you've died twice to the Fiora as Jax now. You should think about buying a item 3076 ."

The Super Top Laner, "Fuck you scrub! STFU flaming noob! YTF are you flaming me??? You don't know WTF you are talking about so STFU! This is a high elo build you wouldn't know WTF that is!"

Reasonable Guy, " item 3076 will let you play safer and help deal with Fiora. Continuing to build item 3078 won't help because you're too behind now."

The Super Top Laner, "OMFG STFU! MUTED RETARD! /ALL REPORT THIS RETARD FOR FLAMING ME! TOXIC POS!"
