Can we talk about how the changes to jungle are the worst thing ever?

I'll start by saying that I was excited to see and try out the new changes. Now that I've played a few games, let's get into this:

Two pots and a machete at start is worthless, unless you have a champ with amazing sustain and well chosen runes you will be backing after barely securing double buffs. New jungle items and their unique bonuses are not worth the astronomical cooldown on smite - you might as well just build a core item. The respawn timers on camps is just as ridiculous and I am struggling not to tax lanes for XP and gold. These camps now do a shit load of damage. Simply put, everything you have done to change this role is awful. You have failed with this new concept and jungling is not this amazingly fun, unique thing you set out to make it - instead it is a truly painful experience until mid-game when it doesn't even matter anymore.

Please swallow your pride and change it back, Riot. At least refine this gameplay and its strategy. Until you do, I will never be playing jungle again because this is absolutely the worst.

Welcome to season 2015 guys. It's like the original jungle, where if you're not safe then the jungle will kill you. Just back after killing a few camps, upgrade your machete, buy a few more pots, and keep clearing. Keep in mind that the other jungler is probably having just as much trouble, whether that means that you decide to poach their camps or ward to protect yours is entirely up to you.

See you guys on the rift!

As somebody who typically doesn't play jungle, I'm afraid I'm not going to like the jungle changes much either (from the viewpoint of somebody who will likely be playing other roles). Some of the concepts are cool, like the various smite bonuses for each of the camps, but that's entirely up to the jungler how they use their smite and the other four people on the team are totally left out of that decision. It puts a lot of strategic power in the jungler's hands, IMO, when they already have a lot to begin with due to the nature of jungling and ganking.

The changes to dragon and baron also mean that if you have a jungler who positions themselves badly and doesn't pay attention to timers, your team is going to fall behind. Before, you could at least take a tower or something and try to equalize the money, but taking a tower now isn't going to get you those buffs.

The increased spawn times and increased damage output of jungle camps also means it's going to be tougher for top/mid/adc to grab themselves a jungle camp from time to time to make up for falling behind a little, a mechanic that I think they need MORE of in this game and not LESS.

From a jungling standpoint, and as already pointed out, it also seems like the jungle is going to be really rough for a lot of champs due to them being squishy, having bad sustainability, etc... I think as people get used to this patch, we're going to start seeing more and more cheese where junglers just start ganking the other jungler while they struggle to clear at early levels. This already took place in many games, but I imagine it's going to be so much easier to pull off now when somebody is taking more dmg from camps and has two less HP pots to start off with.

I've seen some positive posts on this topic... Perhaps your old strategy may need to be changed?

Only thing that I'd suggest is to start with 3 pots at least. Maybe go back to 4.

I personally believe the Jungle SHOULD be challenging, where there's this group of champions who are known for it instead of like half of the roster being able to loosely jungle. Remember it's pre-season, they'll adjust as the next month or so passes.

You aren't suppose to start blue/red they said that you need to start with something else. It's really a cool concept IMHO but if you don't like it I guess there's still top lane.

Down voted twice for providing relevant information about an arguably broken role. Cool.
