why not set runes in game instead of at pick/ban phase

How many players forgot to set runes before the game ? How many defeats must be sustained due to heated disputes during the selection of the optimal setup, during which you can accidentally forget or not have time to choose the runes? if we can choose the runes before we leave the fountain at the beginning of the game, we can shorten the pick / bang phase, as well as give the opportunity to devote the time needed to choose a hero to choose a hero, rather than the agonizing throws between the absolute hat and manaflow band

Maybe this will resemble the solutions of the developers of other games, but you could also think about the runes, which you can select after a certain time in the game, thus eliminating players from unnecessary items like hours that do not work until 10 minutes, and providing other interesting opportunities for new or old runes

Or just set them before you queue up and pay attention to what runes and summoner spells you have equipped. (Pro tip: you can use stop watch before 9 minute mark by buying it without using the stopwatch rune)

But doesn't Pick/Ban phase take like ages to be complete with all the people dodging?

And yet pick/ban phase is the time to PREPARE for the match in every way, not just for Champions; you might as well pick your skins at the start of the game too in this case. If people are as oblivious as to forget to change their runes before a match, that's their fault alone. Simple tip: Name your pages for the champions they are meant for or the roles they're intended for. Easier to glance at and discern.
