Jhin: Good or not? (An opinion on him)

IF YOU DON’T WANT TO READ 700 WORDS ON WHAT JHIN IS, THEN SKIP TO THE BOTTOM.

This coming from someone who has not watched the Mind of the Virtuoso:

I find that Jhin has a ... errored concept and makes absolutely no sense. First of all, I've read about people defending Jhin saying that he does relate to music and being a "virtuoso", but I see no correlation. RiotGypsy said that they added "Beauty in Death" and that "A virtuoso is a person highly skilled in music OR another artistic pursuit. Jhin's artistic pursuit is the art of killing." how he makes death beautiful... accuracy of planning....etc. His skills all have musical playacting names... Captivate Audience... Curtain call... etc. While these all sound like a virtuoso, the actual moves have nothing to do with being a virtuoso. I feel as if RiotGypsy wants to defend Jhin and says that he his highly skilled in the art of killing, then they shouldn't bother trying to make him musical. It's embarrassing. A grenade that bounces is called "dancing." If they wanted to end up making him musical, then they should make him actually have something to do with it, maybe rework him and then come back with him later. I was reading Meddler's whole Bard rework, and I think that some of those ideas would work for Jhin better then just how he is now. If a grenade bouncing and shooting bullets from far away count as "music and playacting," then what is the whole point of Jhin? Just having an interesting kit doesn't make him a virtuoso. He loses the essence of being a virtuoso, he shouldn't even be considered one. I feel as if people that consider themselves virtuoso’s or anything of the sort, would find that Jhin is offensive, because it does not truly represent a virtuoso. I don’t mean to dis RiotGypsy or any of Jhin’s makers, I just think that he is errored.

Also, a flower on a corpse has nothing to do with being a virtuoso. If it does, someone please explain it to me.

Now, as much as I hate Jhin’s concept and kit, there are good things. The concept of a virtuoso is very enticing, especially to music players and actors. I personally would just start from scratch again. I feel as if he could be separated into two separate champions. One for acting, his curtain call, etc, and one for the more musical side of him. For acting (I feel as if I should throw out some ideas.) you could do something more along the lines of Nidalee. Have the ult be a transformation, like Comedy and Tragedy. The lore could be about two people who become Comedy and Tragedy etc. For music, I feel as if the ideas ARE more limited, but you could do something better, such as make an adc version of Sona. (A q- damage, w- aoe, e- buff speed attack etc. R- something amazing. A stun is too much like ashe. More or less a version of Sona) I don’t have many ideas about a musical side. (Maybe more like Udyr? A move for a different instrument? Violin, trumpet, flute, etc.????) I like the whole Lay Waste exploding flowers concept, I hear it was nice in the video, but this has nothing to do with a virtuoso. As elegant as something is, you can’t throw it into a new champ that has nothing to do with it. Maybe add it to Zyra instead.

The whole, no attack speed reload thing has never settled well for me (Graves). I feel as if he shouldn’t be ammo based, League isn’t a Call of Duty game and never will be, but if he has to be, then there should be a different pitch for each shot, maybe adding a bit of a virtuoso characteristic in him. Giving him ONE attack speed is unfair. Early game, if it’s fast, he is op early game, late game, he attacks too slow and dies. Now he will become one of those “unplayed” champions in my opinion. No mobility, no attack speed, technically, you are making him an Attack Damage Carry, but taking away the qualities that define an ADC.

I’m very unorganized in writing and I’m all over the place, but if I think of something, I’ll add it.

SUMMARY: Jhin is a very interesting concept, but lacks the qualities necessary to meet that concept. His abilities sound cool, but have nothing to do with a virtuoso. His attack speed is a horrid idea. Overall, Jhin is an embarrassment to virtuosos all over the world but has a nice concept that if changed, could be amazing. (read the longer thing to hear about the actual position of me)

This is my first piece for League so it would be nice to hear some constructive criticism

I'm just mad that they are trying to effectively replace Caitlyn with Jhin. Sure he has a shorter auto attack range and what not but his ult and his traps, heck even his W would be better on Caitlyn.
