Is dodging a ranked game in promo series count as a loss on your record?

Never done a dodge in ranked becasue of the whole losing lp but if I'm in my promos and one player threatens to troll my whole team can I dodge the match without suffering a loss on my promo series? If the answer is no to the first question then do i get a loss if i repeat the same dodge twice?

Thanks <3

Dodging during a promo series counts as a loss for the promo series, although you don't lose MMR, and only lose LP equal to your dodge penalty (3 for the first one of the day) rather than what you wouldve lost had you actually played the match.

Ouch that is incredibly painful >_< thanks for the honest answer +1

Yeah it feels bad if you're forced to dodge, which is why it's generally only worth it if it's clearly a lost game (e.g. someone openly trolling), in which case it's definitely worthwhile compared to losing mmr+more LP+ probably 20 minutes. Lots of people are perhaps too optimistic ("They're just joking they wouldn't actually troll a ranked game...would they?"), or refuse to dodge themselves since they don't want the penalty (despite it being smaller than the penalty for the inevitable actual loss).

If the penalties were less severe, there'd be issues with somewhat longer times to get into game (with 10 people per cchamp select, odds of at least one dodging is reasonably high), and there'd also potentially be abuse cases (people looking up their whole team, and dodging unless theres a clear smurf on their team), so we're kinda stuck with it.
