Riot really needs to look at Udyr man. Playing him is an actual handicap considering every champ has a dash or something with high mobility that I can not catch up to. 15% MS at lvl 1 e which i dont rank up until lvl 6 or 7 at least, and thats if im maxing e second that game. W is completely useless considering its only 200 hp and does absolutely nothing for his kit unless u max it first and go top which in general udyr top isnt even a thing. Phoenix is in a really bad spot with no damage and no max hp damage considering it is only base damage. AP ratio is really is bad and considering ap is really bad on udyr with only buffing his w and r but then his q is useless. Udyr has only 3 abilities the entire game and one of them is always going to be very bad until a very high level. Considering Udyr has no sort of dash or movement ability that is actually good early game, it is really hard to play this champ. Im just wondering if Udyr is just forgotten and udyr doesnt even exist anymore. It is really sad and hoping something will happen one day.

He needs to be reworked into an actual juggernaut. He's currently just a bargain bin juggernaut, with a kit from before the concept existed.

  1. He needs an ultimate. If he doesn't get an ultimate, he needs power smoothing so he doesn't fall off a cliff at level 6.
  2. He needs some form of compensation for the fact that there is no juggernaut jungle item. Their first item must have mobility, survivability, and damage. Udyr has to pick between survivability or damage.
  3. He needs some form of AoE for his Tiger build. Clearing raptors and krugs is terrible with Tiger. Many high elo Udyr players go Tiamat to counter this, but it delays your Trinity Force power spike and provides no survivability, which he needs post-6. Maybe this could be in the form of a juggernaut jungle item.
  4. **He needs non-scaling survivability. **This is a key part of every juggernaut's kit; they put one point in an ability and they can leave it at rank 1 without losing any survivability. Would also potentially fix #2, because he can rush Trinity Force first item without being punished; currently it's an extremely high risk build.
  5. He needs his mobility issues fixed. I don't have a solution for this. He's currently almost 100% invalid against half the roster, because they have too much mobility, CC, or disengage. But if you just tacked on more mobility, he would be too overbearing for the champions who already can't get away from him.

Fixing all of these would break them, but two would probably be good.

yea i was an udyr main and it felt good to play him 2 seasons ago, s9 is when udyr started degrading into the mess he is now, they just need to undo his health regen and mana regen nerfs imo so he can actually clear

udyr used to have extra hp regen to compensate for his lack of dashes, but once people started abusing the ap item on udyr (it was really broken at the time) riot hard nerfed udyr into dog shit, and now that item is gone, but where is his health regen?

A lot of the things that made Udyr good were taken away over time.

Innervating Locket Zephyr MS AP build Raptor Cloak Stormraider's/Fervor (back when Keystones didn't do billions of damage, Keystone damage increases directly relate to him not doing as well. Keystones in general made him perform worse.)

I'm sure there's tons more I'm missing. His kit is extremely stat reliant, so when items he uses are removed or changed it affects him more than anyone.

You forgot a few things

Steraks being changed from base AD to Bonus AD (This didnt change much for most champs but Udyrs Trinity Steraks combo got hit because he has the 2nd highest base AD in the game late)

Scuttles being moved to 3:15

Jungle xp nerfs (Udyr doesnt play from behind and junglers now can be 1-2 levels below laners)

riven is meh right now, not weak or strong she was disgusting before shield nerf though, absolute filthy elo boosted champion before e nerf

Shiels nerf? Did it do something? Riven is elo booster because she Is oppressive and very flexible + make use of current state of the game.

i used to hate riven with a special passion until they nerfed her e cd, now she takes actual skill to play imo, idc if they buffed her damage aftewards but her e cd nerf was the reason i could actually beat riven in lane

two seconds was the difference between hard winning as gangplank vs riven or hard losing as gangplank vs riven, 2 extra seconds meant everything in that match up as a gangplank main, before she could perma ignore my q damage, now she has to take my q damage or get zoned off minions and lose lane pre 6 hard

He's sooooo good.... /facepalm.

48.9% win rate = 11% less effective than the average jungle.

There are only 8 junglers with a worse win rate, and 3 of those can also be laners.

Step one take omnistone, then boot upgrade in the rune tree, the approach velocity. 2nd tree will be movement speed in the sorcerer tree next to transcendence, the other rune can be what ever . Point being is your to fast.

Increase base shield amount but reduce AP scaling, basic attacks increase armor/magic resist and no longer restores HP.

Give Phoenix Stance reduced base scaling damage but increase AP scaling. Basic Attacks restore HP as well with current AOE effects.

in s8 I think I was Udyr only, literally didn't play anything else. Got to diamond 1 by myself then riot decided to buff sejuani and other moron junglers and I literally dropped to d4. Couldn't win any games, cuz I couldn't move in teamfights.

And didn't play him since, I can't imagine how bad is he now, with all those dmg changes. You run at ppl and they one shot you while running away.

i totally agree! Udyr is one of THE champs who needs a VGU asap. but on the other hand i totally agree that he will be one of the hardest reworks since you COULD give him at least 3 new abilities per spirit form which would make 12 totally differnt abilities in total. (since i think he will kinda stay to his animal forms in one way or another)

Example: Q (Tiger) -> transform him into a WereTiger completely (Q will be the button to transform him back to Human after he turned into a certain Werebeast), W could be a swipe similar to old Warwick , E could be short stealth like Qiyana has and R could be a leap or something.

I'd like them to go harder with the whole "channeling animal spirits" thing as well. Right now his stances are just that: stances, with the exception of Pheonix where he suddenly starts emitting flames.

Well spoken brother. But Riot doesnt care about Udyr. They'll just say "Well all OTPs complain about their champion being weak."

Out of the 4 main AA Juggernauts, Voli and Shyv are getting a rework, Olaf is a top tier jungler, and Trundle and Udyr are complete ass

Udyr needs a VGU. His kits while interesting and novel, dosnt work in modern LOL.

He's the epitome of a ball of stats that runs at you.

At least DrMundo or Shyvana have to hit skillshots to actually kill you. Garen and Jax needs split second timing to to take and deal damage.
