Pauses.

Ok I am just completely confused. In ranked games you are able to pause the game by typing /pause but when you do it says sending pause request. But nothing ever happens. In the last game i was in everyone but one person on my team had typed it as well as one person on the enemy team had typed it. I do not completely understand the full rules on the pause rule. Is there anyone who can tell me what it is. I'm sorry if this seems stupid but I just don't know. If you can help me ill put a on your finger.
