The point of this game was to even out champions so you could have a best man wins type deal depending on who's better, what we have in tank meta is something completely different. We have champs that have 60/70/80% def scaling doing the same dmg as champs that have 60/70/80% dmg, champions like malph, sion and garen are so broken that endgame it takes an entire team to put them down but 1v1 they can pretty much just rock everyone.
Those champions are really hard to kill, but they don't really do that much damage if they build full tank?
Sion and Garen do good damage with just 1 item and pretty much never die.
They need to nerf Cinderhulks percent health increase some.
garen is supposed to be captain duelling power. he consists only of damage and tankyness. minor cc, low mobility, relatively long base cooldowns if he doesnt sit at cdr cap.
the reason why hes so tanky is, because he doesnt have fancy instant gap closers like riven, renekton and/or hard cc like a lot of bruisers. he actually has to walk the distance, which means taking more time, which means taking more damage on the way.
youre not supposed to be able to 1v1 him in melee. the sad thing is, lategame ranged ad actually can sit in place and tank him with lifesteal, if they dont die to 1 rotation. but they shouldnt be able to imo.
you counter garen by kiting, not by fighting him head on.
the same goes for darius, nasus and a bunch of others.
