STOP SAYING IT IS EASY TO GET OUT OF BRONZE

DaFreeze2··14 votes·14,417 views

Why do people say it is easy to get out of bronze! Bronze is really difficult to get out of bronze. People that say it is easy to get out of bronze got placed out of bronze on their placements. I have tried to get out of bronze for quite some time now.. I always get grouped up with people that don't know how to make trade and etc. I get qued up constantly with AFKs and trolls. Ranked need to be something that you cant just start playing! I swear every other game i get qued up with people that have played 5-30 games in ranked. As of me i have been climbing from bronze 5 to bronze 1 then back down from trolls! I am seriously sick of playing this game because when i play ranked i don't benifit anything! This is just dumb. League of legends needs to work on better queing. Just like how bronze ques up with bronze. Please make it were people that are stuck in ranked that are in bronze and have over 100+ games and not que us with trolls!

It's easy to get out of bronze for most people because most people aren't bronze level players.

Zach Foxtail2 votes

Actually that's not true. The distribution of players is STRONGLY weighted towards Bronze. It used to be like 50% Bronze, 20% Silver, 15% Gold, and then the rest in that last bit

Nope.

I placed Bronze in seasons 3 & 4. Climbed to Bronze II from Bronze V in season 3. Climbed from Bronze V to Gold V in season 4. Seasons 5/6 I've been placed in Silver III but I still had to climb from bronze to even have decent MMR for it to place me outside of that in future seasons.

It is easy to climb out of Bronze... looking at your match history it's easy to see why you're struggling...

  1. Your CS/game is VERY low. For example you played a 41 minute game as Veigar and had 138 cs. Cho'Gath game you only had 121 cs in 31 minutes.

  2. Your builds are not optimal. Don't build Majai's on Veigar, for example.

  3. You played a Lux SUPPORT without building any support items... not even a gold income item or sightstone. No surprise that you lost that game. When you play support, actually build support items... actually try to support. Building a sightstone and a gold income item (Frost Queens or Eye of the Watchers) is absolutely essential.

Other observations: Don't start Ruunans on Caitlyn, you went 0/15 on Yasuo, you died 18 times in a game on Vayne...

Reduce your deaths, get more cs, build more optimal items and for the love of God you need to ward. Providing vision for yourself and your team is crucial and you're only putting down about 3-8 wards per game... that's just crazy.

So, it's tough to climb out of Bronze when you're playing like a Bronze player.

Im sorry op but once you know you can get out of bronze it is in fact easy.

I understand your frustration, I was bronze for all the first season I played but getting out can be done. You need to be playing a champion that can easily help other lanes because a lot of the time even if you beat your lane opponent you can't do a lot when the other 4 of the enemy team are fed. I suggest playing jungle or play top/mid with champions that can provide global pressure or roam very easily. From my experience the best way to get out of Bronze is by playing someone that can help everyone on your team. I'd stay away from bot because adc requires good positioning and peel if the enemy team is any good and a lot of supports can't help other lanes without their adc dying constantly.

That makes sense. There have been a small group of champions that are still somewhat viable when the player is behind (i.e., those that go tanky or use some form of cc) should work in the Bronze and Silver levels - even though they may be less viable in upper levels. But even then, it would still come down to the player making sure that they master the basics (i.e., last hits, knowing when to try to carry and how to be carried, knowing when to actually join a battle, warding, etc.). Upon reflection however, I'm not sure if the tanky "get me out of bronze" types will still work under season 7 given the overhaul that assassins are getting.

As for recommending jungle to a bronze or even a silver player, I think it might be not the best recommendation. It still requires quite a bit of skill to be a good jungler. Simply, the number of times I've seen bronze junglers falling behind or badly taxing lanes and putting a hurting laner even further behind (when they didn't even need "assistance") suggests that it might not be the best option. In fact, I think playing the jungler role to get out of bronze is about as good as recommending support for the same goal. (And I should note that the jungle position is getting a bit more complicated in season 7 to boot and less "learning player" friendly.)

As one consolation, still on the topic of season 7, it looks like the appearance of a separate solo/duo queue "could" be promising for the Bronze sufferers. But also, I am noting that it has been a general trend that it is getting harder for one player to carry an entire game. So I hope that the original poster can find at least one other person to join up with to accomplish their goal. And that challenge, alone, in this game, has not been easy to do. This is because even when you find another person who also wants at getting out of bronze, quite often they usually overestimate their own abilities, they don't recognize their own bad habits and as a consequence, they make your task even harder.

It took me 3 days to get out of bronze.

I was silver 3 last season, this season came around, I won all 10 promos and got placed bronze 5, yeah I was super fucking pissed.

Then I played a game, for 57 LP, went from Bronze 5 to Bronze 3, to Bronze 1, skipped Promos into Silver.

If you are in bronze, you deserve to be there. just face the facts. You need to learn the tools needed to carry the game and help the team to victory, because you can't rely on anyone in Bronze.

I actually did find it easy to get out of Bronze. I can promise you that in Bronze I, you'll find people working a lot harder to go up than you will ever find in Silver V-II.

I actually had the easiest time getting from bronze I to bronze III. I scraped that out in a week flat and then was in bronze 2-1 for months... But hey I'm silver now! :D

ZED G0D2 votes

look mannn I was a terrible ADC...and I asked a plat player to help me learn ADC, so he (being a lucian main) taught me lucian...literally I went 17-7-17 when I usually go something like 4-10 as adc...just a little coaching from a higher level is all you need. Just ask in team recruit board for a coach on a champ you like...they'll teach you how to carry.

Narvuntien2 votes

I think the problem is that people that have deliberately got themselves into bronze were actually higher level players so it was easy for them to get out.

I suggest you practise your mechanical skills, until you are just better than your opponents at things like farming, after that you will need to learn marco play, like you know map awareness and when to go for dragon and baron so as not to throw.

I mean I am stuck in silver, but I am a support, I just don't know how to carry, its just not what I do or how I think or how I play. I have probably given up on ranked again.. might not play it for another two years.. its just not fun.

honestly ik i sound like those typical bronze players saying they deserve challenger but Honestly I think i deserve gold5+ i am silver 4 and all my team are either trolls, toxic, or just bad, makes me get tilted and get toxic. If you look at my score, it is 4-0-2 for the first 10 minutes basically every game or something like that and my bot and jg are like 0/4 which feeds enemy jg and bot which then in laning phase I die because I am the strongest and the most high level so they obviously take me first while my team run in fear so then I get mad and tell them why they fed but by now I am 8-7-4 or something and their like WTF U HAVE MORE DEATHS. When they say this is get so tilted... someone help me... if u look at op.gg it says my score is like 8-6-3 or something and u think I am bad but watch the game and u will understand what I am saying. my IGN is :faze beef Ik its stupid summoner 4

Been in bronze for the past 4 months Every time I queue up i go from 60 LP bronze 1 to 40 LP to 60 to 40 to 60 to 40 to 60 to 40 I can't climb out because i get put with people who don't know mechanics....

FioraWillCarry2 votes

The game is so by design. Basically the team with less idiots wins. It's not meant for you to be able to solo carry. And if the system finds that you're winning too much, it starts placing you with even more idiots, game after game until you lose a few. After a while, it will start giving you good teams and so the cycle goes on. There really isn't a way around it unless you script or something. The system is rigged bro. Just play and try to have fun.

It is not easy. It was never suppose to be.

Learn Basic Knowledge of the game, like warding, how to counter other champions, map awareness, how to cs. Pick a champion that fits the meta, can carry, is useful to your whole team. Learn that champions mechanics, how to build them, what you can do with that champion by playing some normals. Try to play ONLY that 1 champion in ranked that you spent hours learning to play. You will start to climb

I learned how to play Fiora on my main account and went from bronze 5 to Gold 5 in under 3 months. I got to around 100K mastery points with her until i was winning lane 90% of the time. The trolls and AFKs, you just got to grit your teeth and deal the loss sometimes. Takes time but you will do it as long as you keep playing and get better

The majority of tiers aren't that difficult to get out of, after you've gotten out of them once before. This is not necessarily the same as them being trivial roflstomps, as even diamond can have issues with the intense feeding some people will do, but once you've climbed out of a tier once, you generally find you'll pretty consistently win >50% of the time when smurfing in that elo.

It's often subtle map awareness and overall decision making stuff that you legitimately did improve on over time that's really to blame, to the extent that occasionally people have a hard time intentionally maintaining a lower elo even when they want to (e.g. to have an account to play with their lower rank friends on).

I have a smurf account in bronze that has around a 70% winrate, and I very legitimately first timed draven in ranked on that account, so that I could hopefully lose without actually intentionally feeding. It was a axe dropping fiesta, and yet that's the winrate that still came of it simply because even though my draven micro was butt, I'm still plat/diamondish on a macro level. (I also placed low gold this season, and climbed back to plat in like a week, despite it being a season long endeavor last season, so it's not just the bronze climb that gets easier after you've done it once.)

Calixtis1 votes

What are you supposed to do when everyone on your team feeds their asses off time after time after time. I don't think I have had a game where less then 3 people on my team were feeding.

Mysticman892 votes

Support them better (not necessarily implying the support role, but potentially through pings/roams/tp plays), or shrug it off and understand that statistically the enemy teams will be the ones doing the feeding just as often and play enough games without being tilted that your influence is enough to push yourself over 50% winrate.

Always good to focus on your influence though, since assuming you're not in challenger, theres definitely room for personal improvement. The idea isn't to hard carry everything, it's just to provide enough of an edge to tilt the odds in your favour.

edit: Also responding to 3 month old posts is weird.

I was just wondering and I had also just found this and hoped you wouldn't be one of the people telling me to just 'Git Gud.'

AwareChill1 votes

I'm sorry I can't share your frustration, I left bronze nearly less than 50 games in and this is my first season, probably cause I spent most of my time in normal, I recommend just playing normal and once in a while ranked, maybe you'll get better then? It worked for me, just keep playing and playing.

AwareChill1 votes

Also just play one to two champions per role (preferably one)

M4Shz1 votes

Then you were just as much lucky as good enough to climb. It's not easy period. Its just as much luck not getting a bad team.

DarkRitual1 votes

I started B4 this season. I easily climbed out of Bronze as a support main.

It's easier if you have more than just basic game/champion knowledge, and you abuse the meta picks a little.

Your mileage may vary.

TheProsperous1 votes

I know this post is from about a year ago but what supports did you play? I love the support role but I usually just force myself into playing mid laners because i dont feel as useless when my adc is horrible. (btw i generally like peel supports such as lulu and janna, is this part of the problem?)

DarkRitual1 votes

I played a wide range. Soraka, Janna, Thresh, Morgana, Leona being the most prominent. I'd say only playing enchanters sucks with a bad adc and likely contributed. Ardent meta was an exception though.

I actually just got placed in bronze for 3s (my computer shit the bed during one of my placement matches so by the time I got back in the game it was pretty much over) and climbed out in a few games without even really paying attention to it, because I belong in silver.

I don't know what to tell you. Not everyone likes the grind that is ranked, and it can totally be frustrating to be unable to climb, but the best way to get out of bronze is to not belong in bronze in the first place.

Edit: Wait, who the fuck necroed this?!

Bronze is a joke to get out of. It doesn't mean you will win every single game necessarily, but if you play consistent you will be out in no time, especially if you play carry roles.
