Is Riot biased towards Nautilus?

Disclaimer: I do not object Riot for balancing around competitive play.

Let's make it short, in the beginning of S7, top lane has the triple tanks + . Only escapes the nerf hammer.

After the tank and CotC nerfs, emerge.

Patch 7.7 triggered me seeing getting nerfed but not . And right now is getting nerfs on 7.8 PBE

I always support Riot for balancing around competitive play, which I do not object the aforementioned nerfs.

But as an LCK and LCS audience, I find Nautilus way more boring than even Maokai and Shen (Shen ult is big for playmaking), with his point-and-click kit. This makes me wonder if Riot have a heavy bias towards Nautilus when he is literally the only champion on Pick/Ban tier (competitive) throughout the whole season, which didn't get any individual nerfs.

I remember him getting some nerfs to his E earlier in the season (or late season 6) but I wouldn't say Riot is biased towards Nautilus.

Nautilus isn't a one hit binary champion, He is pretty fun to play and I'd prefer playing him over the current maokai at the moment because i like nautilus as a top laner

He's stayed and grown more popular over time because he and Shen are the last tanks in competitive that are considered "good" — Shen for the map play, Nautilus for the wave-clear and disruption in fights. Poppy and Maokai are both still very strong after the nerfs, but people saw number drops and jumped ship.

I think Nautilus's shield takes too long to wear off. Like you probably cant fight him through his shield usually and by the time its worn off he killed your minions so you will tank a lot more minions in a trade. Waiting for that shield to wear off is annoying. I wouldnt like another nerf to Nautilus, is Nautilus op? Or most other tanks weak top? I'm expecting 2, maybe 3 tanks to be made op in the tank update so it would be a shame for them to outclass Naut enough to make him obselete.
