Let's talk about ways to deal with DC's/AFK's/etc in ranked

I've lost more ranked games due to DC's, AFK's, and people not loading in than I've lost through a legitimate game. I know this is something many others have experienced. And honestly, I encounter more of this in ranked over normals.

Anyway, in the last match (where two people never joined the game) the enemy team and I discussed a way to deal with the problem. What if the enemy team had a sort of "veto loss" vote. AKA: they can call shenanigans on the match due to whatever is going on. Obviously it would take some balancing and adjusting to not be abused, and it would probably need to be just a reduction to the LP loss or something. The point is, ranked is about proving your skill in the game, not winning/losing matched due to DC/AFK/Etc.

Anyway, what are people's thoughts? Do we need some kind of veto system?

even if you did have a veto loss system the community is pretty toxic overall so most players would just ignore their vote or vote against you anyways. a good idea in an ideal community but this is far from an ideal community

That's kind of my fear on it too, but at the least it would be something.
