Is it just me, or does Akali's Q take longer to travel/be detonated by her ultimate? Seems the old combo of QR doesn't even detonate it if used in quick succession. Sometimes,even QRE won't,and it takes an auto. Was anything changed?
EndlessSorcerer2 votesAkali's ultimate doesn't detonate her mark; it's only detonated using an autoattack or Crescent Slash. IIRC, Akali's ultimate will automatically make her autoattack the target after reaching them, which was what detonated the mark.
Is it possible you are making another action after dashing to your target which cancels the autoattack animation or that you are using your E before the Q projectile actually marks the target?
Lord Dusteon2 votesWell, for one only Akali's autoattacks or E can proc the mark. Otherwise, it has a somewhat lengthy projectile travel time, which means if you quickly do your combo it won't finish landing until after the E.
JevelFaithful1 votesAs Dusteon says, the ult travels faster than the Q. So it's possible you're doing your combo too fast. You can let a beat between Q and R. Since both are point'n'click, you combo will not be affected. Depending on the situation, people might not notice the Q flying their way immediately.
Ragelx2 votesYeah,you guys are right,that only Q and E detonate it,but as Endless says, she automatically autos when u ult. Months ago, You could do the QRE or QR auto combo and it would detonate right away. I think a mechanism was subtly changed(perhaps a fixed travel time or a yasuo wall interaction change) that makes it way harder to detonate. Idk, i'll try to do some more testing.
