When you have picked your champion and the game is about to start why do you need to click "lock in"?? Why not just make it as it was back in the days when you just could pick a champion and when the timer ran out you automatically got that champion? Was in champ select recently and forgot to click "lock in" which made me wait 5 minutes to start another one. Pretty bad actually.

the game begins in champ select.

people want to communicate during that time, possibly swap champions with each other and trade positions.

when everyone jsut selects his champion and then goes to take a quick shit for the next 5 minutes until the game starts or runs off to make himself food, it can screw over teamcomps and teammates who get unecessarily counter picked.
