[RANKED] Reported AFK/DC's -> Loss Prevention

So in a mere matter of hours I've dropped from series down to 40LP due to two rage-quits and a 1:20 Disconnect. I've posed the question before and gotten a hard-no, with no real reason as to why beyond "We reserve Loss Prevention for server issues." Is there a reason Loss Prevention can't be instituted to assist players who are in ranked games and have an unfair disadvantage of a certifiable disconnect/rage-quit/afk?

There's a lot of talk about competitive integrity that goes around, but I see very little implemented into the game to actually suggest it's a focal point of development's current direction with the game. Granted, we obviously don't know - everything - that hits playtest or that is on the drawing boards in Riot. However, if a player in a ranked game AFK's for any reason long enough to hit LeaverBuster and receive 2-3+ reports; I see no reason why if proven there was an unfair advantage and no remake offered that there is any justifiable reason to punish those who played it out.

There's a fault in rewarding players who abuse a 5v4 matchup with easy LP gains, meanwhile the ailing team has to more or less accept a loss of LP (in some cases, a series) for matters out of their control, and if they don't opt to surrender, have a miserable and demoralizing game where no matter how hard they try they'll get out-rotated because there simply aren't enough bodies. The system already exists, and should be rewarded after a brief review process to determine whether or not it was justified (a percentage of game-time missed, for example).

The only reason is that Riot doesn't care.

Sounds about right, unfortunately.
