Fiddle mid main: continue or no? Help me high elo players

I have mained fiddle mid for quite a while now, on and off sometimes, but i have managed to get fairly good with 200k points and an M7. usually i go mid, kinda win lane, roam, etc and usually manage to do good/carry. however, recently i have noticed my winrates are dropping for some reason. is it because middlesticks isnt a great pick in higher elos (i'm approaching gold) or is it just this patch? should i stop maining him , or take him jungle? could use some advice from higher elo players and thanks! my main build my spells tips appreciated, thanks for reading

just cuz you main a champ dont mean it is the best champ for a game, based on your team comp vs the enemy team comp and lane match up.

you can still play him... maybe use it him other roles as a counter pick like top, jungle, or support.

and have more then one champ you can play that so you can chose the best champ for the game. but play him if you enjoy him and have fun ... cuz in the end of all the BS its about enjoying the game.

Classic champions get no love, since everyone has the #1 strategy to deal with them in the era of 130+ champions

Im happy to have climbed a bit back when I was playing Fiddle support

Fiddlesticks mid is very good agaisnt Mages.

Ur laning with E spam to harass + clear wave and W sustain is too much for them to handle.

Once u are lvl 6 throw ur E at minions and just before it hits the enemy champ use R ( u need to be fast ), they cant stop u cuz they are silenced and later dead.

If u forced them to delay item 3165 for an early MR item, u have won the laning as they will lack the damage and CDR to roam while u are free to do so.

Against AD champs or Fizz Ahri Ekko , he is not so good.

To be honest if you enjoy playing Fiddlesticks mid then you should do that. Because as long as you maintain a positive win-rate and you are having fun, that is how you are going to climb.

If you switch to a new main because someone tells you its better because Bjergsen plays it or it's easier to climb with, you probably aren't going to do as well for two reasons.

You won't know that champion as well as your own.
You probably won't like it as much.

Obviously i'm operating under the assumptions that you play fiddle because you love playing him and you aren't already exceedingly good at another substitute someone might suggest.

But climbing in the long run is all about your attitude and if you can win more games than you lose, while having fun because youre playing a Champion you love, then you will Climb. As long as you focus on all the aspects of the game that aren't champion specific, like objectives, CS, Pressure, Roaming, etc.

If you like him then great. Enjoy playing him, but you need to think about the comp as well. If your team has 5 AP then good luck, because everyone will have MR. But then again you are a Silence bot. and it having a around 6 second CD with 45% CD. You are a better silence bot then Soraka you just can't heal like she can. But with your build I can see you are not taking advantage of it. If you are starting to loose your win rate change up the build.

I suggest you going for a 45% CDR Quietsticks. Because 6 CD And a one second AOE stun is a killer in team fights. With your 6 or 7 second Q someone will be perma locked down.

Your winrate will naturally go down as you climb because you are getting closer to the correct mmr for your current skill level. So the best thing you can do is improve your understanding of the game overall. Watch some high elo streamers/youtubers even if they play other champs because the general knowledge you can pick up that way is useful.

Like, most of winning is just knowing where you should be, what you should be doing, and what calls to make for your team. The higher elo players you look at the more decisive they will be and the more correct calls they will make.

damn, you just called gold high elo, and no its not because gold players are good, because thats not true, its only that silver players dont know how to deal with fiddle mid, if you want to acually climb, just play annie, shes a free win. GOLD ISNT HIGH ELO, PLATINUM ISNT HIGH ELO, DIAMOND ISNT HIGH ELO, Only challenger is high elo, anything else is trash. If you say gold is high elo, you have never played in gold

Middlesticks is a great time but i'd trade the hat for a morellos but otherwise the build looks great.

middlesticks is basically a second jungler once you hit 6 so if you enjoy him mid go crazy.
