Skarner is not currently useful.

Skarner the giant scorpion is currently a champion that is described by riot and others as a "disruptive fighter" and a "safe jungle pick" The more i play the more frustrated i get however because of a few reasons.

1. his main c.c. for gap closing is a slow This is not helpful in a world full of jumps. the missile speed is dreadful and the move interrupts his attack/movement animation as well if i'm not mistaken. not to mention the attack is easy to read as my only other option is running at them ala garren

2. his stun takes forever to utilize. in a world where udyr with bear stance exists, it seems silly that i have to hit 2 q's, an e, and still auto attack after that for some form of extremely small c.c. to take place. I cannot be expected to, in teamfights. jump from person to person interrupting them even if i got all 3 stacks off. Oh, and the best part is that if i decide to use my ult i get to start the process over several moments later. this makes the ult use case very hard to understand.

3. his first clear is not very safe. even taking q and w first, skarner's first clear is not very safe. i realize the coming jungler changes may help with this, but they will also introduce invading junglers and dueling as an understood play style. skarners early damage and complete lack of sustain are not helpful.

4. His r has a low range and scales with movement speed... for being a scorpion that drags things the fact that if i am slowed at the time the attack is useless is annoying. not to mention that the movement doesn't really allow for any auto attacks and maybe 1 q. also, for a character that is suppose to grab things (once again we live in a wonderful world of mobility and on demand jumps/c.c. in every lane) DARIUS is currently a better choice then the GIANT SCORPION when is compared.

I know a lot of people have probably complained about skarner, but there is a reason his pick rate is so low. even if he got stat buffs he isn't fun/rewarding to play in his current form. I ask that other players insert their concerns (not change ideas) if any riot members are available to voice there opinions it would be good to know if changes are coming or if i should just start playing udyr instead.
