Let us discuss about Prestige tokens for a moment. First off id like to point out that Rito said that they would be finding "new ways to give out Prestige Tokens" https://i.imgur.com/Hb37Y50h.png (for reference), it has been almost if not already half a year since then and the tokens expire, how much must one wait till they can get the skin? or should they just outright buy the skin for $120? which brings me to my next issue.

how is it that a skin that is $120 that requires prestige tokens exist when the ULTIMATE skin which ranges about $35 has more to it?

another point is if i was to do the math for how many people actually on a daily basis buy said skins i feel you would earn MORE from the ULTIMATE skins then the PRESTIGE skins? example: on average how many people have you seen with a ultimate skin? dj sona is popular, elementalist lux, etc ive seen a average of like 10-20 a week, now lets talk about how many prestige token skins there are? ive seen 2 so far and one of them is my friend who really liked aatrox but other then that just 2!!!!!

i get they are suppose to be "rare" skins but its highly unfair to pay $120 for a skin that is very underpar compared to ultimate skins and there isnt a way to "earn prestige tokens" like they said they would, granted yes they said "they are looking for ways to do it" suggestions have been given, its been about half a year that is ENOUGH time to think of something especially since thats half a year into a timer for the skins themselves

am i the only one who feels strongly about this?

Prestige points are pretty stupid, and force people to dump money into RNG with an end goal for a skin that isn't worth the risk you're taking. For the cost of the RNG you need to get the points, you could literally buy all of the Ultimate skins in the game, or loads of other skins in the game, especially if you catch one of the weekly sales. Your returns on the hextech stuff is going be worth much less than what you invested into it, because there will be repeats you can't use, you'll have to break stuff down in order to redeem some, so basically you don't get what you paid for. It's a TERRIBLE business practice, and not at all worth the efforts. It's a shit way to sell skins to, and given that Riot has claimed they'll provide ways to get prestige points, they've yet to act on that, which further makes them seem like they're just blowing smoke up our asses to try and sell a grossly overpriced product.

And to be fair, it actually wouldn't be half as bad (it'd still be shit, but a small shit like a chiuaua shit instead of a St. Bernard shit) if the prestige points were given with the RP you buy, since then you'd have extreme flexibility in what you do with your RP, instead of forcing you to dump your money into loot boxes.

I will say this at least, if they don't push out an Ultimate skin this year even though they have flaunted these Prestige skins, that WILL look poorly as that shows they were more focused this year on maximizing profits making prestige skins rather then producing quality skins. Even last years "Ultimate" skin for MF was a sign they are getting lazy, trying to ship it as a "cheaper Ultimate skin" and instead of being able to produce a second Ultimate skin of that quality (honestly I'd be okay with Cheap Ultimate skins if they were able to produce 2 a year), they start these prestige skins which take LESS work to make then a low quality skin.

To be fair on the Miss Fortune skin, there's really only so many ways you can do form changes before you start needing to repeat yourself. They can't always innovate in that avenue, so I totally understand why they decided to reduce it's cost.

Oh yea, I have no problem with the ideals behind cheaper Ultimate skins. As you said there's only so many ways to innovate Ultimate skins and if it DID lead to 2 Ultimate skins a year then I feel it would be well worth it to have more chances for other champs to get Ultimate skins per year. But I will have a problem if they don't release any Ultimate skin this year because they were so focused on these prestige skins to make them.

I just wish we had custom voice work with these prestige skins. $120 for non skin centric voiceovers feels bad.

Literally I wanted an icon that costed Prestige points but before I even had enough time to get enough prestige points without playing every second of the day it was gone. I cant buy any prestige tokens so I just feel as if I wasted time and money trying to buy them. I was so upset to find that I could not buy the item I worked for. TT
