So, Corki and Kog'maw...

Does anyone else feel like they accidentally got each others passives? Kog'maw has always had a significant portion of his damage come from a hybrid physical/magic split, going all the way back to the original Madred's Bloodrazor. Corki's high magic damage was sort of just a side effect of his kit. Kog's "fantasy" is a long ranged artillery barrage staying as far back as possible, Corki's "fantasy" is a daring bombardier diving into the fray at the right moments. Yet... Kog'maw, who's typical play involves staying as far -away- as possible has the suicide bombing passive, and Corki, whose death animation is -already- exploding, gets a passive magic damage split. Does anyone else think it'd make far more sense for Corki's passive to be him going out in one last kamikaze blaze of glory, and Kog's passive to be emphasizing his hybrid damage output?

Just a random thought I had...

I'd hate to have a death passive on Corki.. but smoke coming out of the airship... and him being skilled enough to at least take out some more enemies with him.... makes sense thematically... if Corki were ever to be shot down...

There a lot of passives that should be switched, and this is a very basic one. Edit:Woah I didn't expect to get downvoted for this one, what I meant is that the idea is perfectly fine, nothing negative

Ictathian Surprise is basically there to give Kog a way to finish off assassins who jumped on him. If he loses a fight at ranged he gets punished.

Kog doesn't need more magic damages. If his autos only dealt half physical his team is basically full AP at that point.

It makes sense for Corki because his Q and E deal split damage as well.

Corki should also be able to blow up towers with this new passive.

Still too soon? It's been over 15 years now...

Unlike Karthus', Kog'Maw's death passive feels so random, like it was strapped to him because they've run out of imagination on what would suit him. Such a poor design, about time they designed a new passive for him that doesn't require him to die to use it.

Same for Janna Morgana 's shields. Janna is about protecting allies, Morgana is about CC'ing the enemy and helping her allies kill them. And yet Janna's gives offensive power, Morg's gives CC immunity.

well yeah, thematically it's a good idea... but i dont think having planes crashing is best idea.

KogMaw and Ziggs should switch passives!

Horse Grenades9/13/2016, 1:29:26 PM2 votes

This makes so much sense

I can imagine corki trying to steer his crash landing to hit people now... yes please

It does makes sense lol even though watching my beloved white haired yordle explode would be a bit too sad to take...

With Kog is alright because you know he's an alien creature that probably has the regeneration rate of wolverine so he's technically inmortal, it's not like they're making him explode, he's activating a mechanism inside his body that triggers the explosion, he WANTS to explode, kinda like a child throwing a tantrum.

would be cool if you could actually bomb the nexus towers with that passive.

Can we? It sure lines up a lot more and it sounds way more fun. I find his new passive strange, because Corki doesn't really do anything extra with basics besides having shred on his Gatling Gun.

The package is neat, does it stay? Seems fair, your passive is either in death or once every so often. Other champions get to benefit from passive effects all game long.

for kog'maw to have a new passive is pretty nice...but not a position skill like corkis passive.

Otter Fire9/13/2016, 9:55:52 PM1 votes

But Kog'Maw is a Spy/researcher for the Void. If he gets caught, he kills himself and any info stored is destroyed with him and the enemy. As for Corki, I don't know about the suicide. Makes sense though.

I want Corki to remain a viable mid/ad mid replacement and I think 50% magic damage on autos is key to that.

FantasySniper9/15/2016, 3:58:43 AM1 votes

It was mostly determined by Kog'Maw's hypercarry status. Death passives are only useful if you actually die, so if you're ahead and not dying, you practically don't have a passive. Thematically it would make way more sense for them to be switched, and it even makes more sense between their kits, but they'd have to be completely rebalanced around it.

Imagine Corki with the suicide bomber passive, still able to use W after death
