I was silver 4 at the end of last season. I played and won 10 placement matches today and get demoted to Bronze 1. How is this even possible? How do I get punished for winning all my placements??
Rich, you have a great point but let me explain. When Worlds ended and a few weeks later the in-game client season ended your ELO became unless. At that point you could spam Teemo ADC all day and it wouldn't matter short of pissing your teammates off. With that being said , people always ask this every year in january, "How come I qualified lower?" Well my good sir its because they usually have you start in a lower ELO and it is very easy to climb out. For example I went 8 - 2 in my promos and went from Gold V to Silver 3 I have won my last 7 games since my placements and I am gaining 25+ LP a game. So it is incredibly easy to climb. The reason behind this is that it will keep Q times short for the next few weeks and the ladder with shake itself out. The people who should be higher in ELO will climb and the ones who shouldn't .. well it will be the same game for them. Just focus on playing you have the next 10 months of ranked in front of you. Keep playing a positive mindset game and you will climb the ELO ladder I promise.

did you not read the "soft reset" please go read about it. you are likely to place below where you finished. preseason does count a bit.

Well, they removed dynamic queue for a reason. It would be interesting to hear if it's because the MMR dragging issue.
