I just play my champs I play cause changes are minute and I can careless cause I'll still build the same and start the same. Take voli for instance I max w 100% of the time won't change if they do anything to q or e cause w will always be more useful

Lul, maybe if i started playing this game again in a manner of tryharding everyday i would be probably higher than i am now, where i used to be. i created this acc after ryze (imo got gutted, ye i was a ryze otp) rework was introduced in 9.12, basically learning champs (by actually playing them and not just knowing what their kit is made of, took a liking to kass, vlad and brand) here and not even playing this game everyday, only when i feel like it. Of course, if my opinions were to matter i would have to be a nolife and start grinding hard again eh? btw, i dont remember riven having most of her mechanics, defensive or not, taken away. you should be happy she wasnt hit with asol/ryze treatment.

it's complicated. despite champions getting needless buffs when they are already strong and those buffs being better served on champions who are otherwise out of the limelight, there exist champions who answer to those champions that get buffed needlessly. so fiora keeps on getting buffed for no reason, to answer her effectively at challenger etc jax needs to be kept viable. he might not sell as many skins as fiora but he maintains the competitive integrity of the ladder because picking fiora or riven despite their overbuffed status can just as well be met by jax who is a natural counter anyway and get's compensated balance wise pending only what the meta itself will do, noted by his latest Q buff because rito added toys to some other champions (kled, renekderp, poopy)

rito buffed syndra? ok let's give ekko those ultimate cooldown buffs we wanted to give him. pyke gets introduced? ok lets buff zyra, janna and leona that should cover everything. ryze got reworked to ez modo? ok lets give fizz a rebalancing. galio has been removed from the meta? well shit what are we gonna do about akali now? guess we can just ignore diana's balance while we figure out what is even making akali so strong.

It applies because it was the very fucking principle she was being balanced around, a principle they came out and SAID was how they were gonna balance her. Then they decided to fuck off with it when she suddenly got 54% winrate and was like that for 6+ patches.

Jax on the other hand should be getting nerfed regardless because the Q buff was such a massive oversight on them for not knowing how Jax works.

I don't mind Riven getting buffs if they provide an actual counterplay to her. Right now the most I can do against her early is hoping she fucks up her lvl1/lvl2/whatever all-in and ends up getting too much minion agro to lose trade and be forced to back

Riven never had any counterplay to begin with. The only counterplay riven ever has had was spacing. Correct spacing to make her waste her Q/E in attempts to getting in and then turn around and beat the shit out of her. That's the ONLY counterplay she ever had. At 40%CDR or 45% she just runs at you stunlocks you into a oneshot in 0,2seconds because that's the amount of time she needs to play out her entire kit if played properly.

Well and maybe poking her down/going for short trades by basically statchecking because her health regen was trash but riot made sure to massively buff her health regen so she has no counterplay anymore.
