How to completely eliminate any form of player DDOS (riot implement required)

Both teams should not be able to see the ID of any enemy champ. They should appear as the name of the champion and nothing more -- EKKO is EKKO -- not EDDLE SMURFY. When you view someone's game, you should not be able to see their enemy's IDs. Hell, let's just say you shouldn't be able to tell who that person is playing with either. You should only be able to know THAT player's name since you're viewing their game -- but everyone else in that game should be known by their champion's name. This would disallow malicious players from searching for an enemy's IP -- this would disallow players who stalk specific players and DDOS their team. This would stop the MAJORITY..if not ALL malicious denial of service against players. The only ones who'd be in danger at that point are streamers who show their voip information. As a very rough example, I've added a picture to show you how the game should look in terms of identifying who you're playing against. Although this idea seems incredibly strange, this would completely stop any form of DDOS against players. But honestly, is this that strange of an idea? impossible, maybe?

So your saying you shouldn't be able to see player names?

You should still be able to see people on your friends list for sure.

well, it's an interesting idea, but presents the problem that if the name is presented at all (say the end of game as you imply), then should they actually remember who they want to troll, they could do the same thing.

DDos'ing would also require a network of computers unless the player wants to get banned instantly for exploit abuse, so it's impractical.

why do you think players are ddos attacking other players?

This is an interesting idea. I don't know much about computing, but I'd like Riot's discussion on this.

You do understand league of legends have been out for a long time and even in the beginning their was ddos'ing. They are more focused on keeping the server secure then changing peoples names to the champion they are playing.

Did you know: You can't see enemy's Champion Mastery, but if they score a kill or die you can see a triangle under their champion icon?

Food for thought.

Go ahead and give me feedback / a scenario regarding my idea and I'll tell you how to optimize it or if it's already not in need of a change.

I have player names over champions turned off anyway, that's useless information and there's no reason to ever want to see it.

More on-topic, one problem that I see with hiding player names is that you can't recognise players you've met in previous games. That means you both can't see that cool guy you played with last game and be glad to have him on your team again, or see that toxic player who flamed his support for the entirety of your last game and dodge out of champion select before they get to ruin another game.
