Riot please put more resources into reworks

So about a year ago I gave my account to one of my friends since I wanted to take a break from the game, and just recently got back into it as said friend has given back the account. To give you a timeframe, I quit around the time Thresh was released, so it's been a while, and MAN basically everything has changed. A lot of it is super interesting like the new map, items, jungle, etc. But there's one thing that I have to mention: the champions. I don't know what Riot has been smoking since I quit the game, but it must be some good stuff, 'cuz these new champs are just ridiculous. During season 2, my friends and I would joke around about how the future of the game would be full of Riven-like champions with overwhelming movement and incredible damage output/utility/tanking ability, but I never thought it would actually become reality. I already see a lot of outcry on the boards about it, so I won't beat a dead horse, however people don't seem to remember the old-school champions. There are so many champs that are just being left in the dust due to the influx of champions with incredible kits promoting the ever-growing mobility creep/power creep. I miss being able to play Anivia or Karthus mid without a Yasuo or Zed just blowing me up and escape with little to no commitment. My favorite ADC Ashe is almost useless compared to Kalista or Jinx (btw wtf is up with Kalista Riot seriously). Please Riot stop releasing these absolutely crazy champions and let the older champs catch up. But this is just an opinion of some old timer.

Incoming: supermobile support that simultaneously supports multiple lanes at once without being present. Oh, and he scales from moving around at virtual hyperspeed. Great, right?
