Reconnect to game win = lose LP

So about 20 minutes into a ranked game my power goes out, rushing to get computer an internet back on takes me like ~10 minutes. I'm panicking hope they didn't lose, the games not over maybe we just lost some turrets we can turn it around etc... Connect back in very winnable state even with how behind I am. fight on for like another 15ish minutes games won!!! yay-nope. Victory at a loss of 18lp cool. So I disconnected rushed to get back on an we win but I get punished. So Riots teaching me if I d/c screw my teammates I'm not even attempting to get back on hope they can finish 4v5.

I feel like this is a punishment to Higher elo players. Some people I know say they get fed and then if someone pisses them off they just leave the game and act like they don't care. Me thinking to myself you cared about getting to Diamond LOL. So in all honesty I feel there is a higher % of people not affected by this mindset and It should change. Happened to me a couple times and usually in important games that would move into promos

Yop thats where we are now. If you DC, like in this case, just dont even connect back, just quit the game, you will loose the LP anyway so what does it matter.

Supposedly, if you reconnect and your team wins the game, you get punished less. That's what they said in a recent note. But the LP loss is the same, so I can't really tell exactly how the punishment is lessened.

But bugs me is that even if you reconnect in 5 minutes, it's still an LP loss.

On my computer, if lose internet but my computer doesn't require a restart, I can usually get back in before the 5 minutes. But if my computer flips off and I have to reboot, that's pretty much a guaranteed LP loss. Because it's not enough to just reconnect to the game. You have to reconnect, and then actually do something useful, such as auto attack a jungle camp or something. Reconnecting and then walking around for another minute = LP loss. You are still considered afk until you do something useful.

So if my computer restarts... even if I get back into the game in 4 minutes... I still lose LP if I am unable to actually enter the game, and quickly get to a jungle camp and auto attack it, before 5 minutes has passed. And on my computer, I can get back in 4 minutes, but I typically can't make it to a camp fast enough, so I still lose LP.

I don't think you should be given the same amount as others, but true in the case of victory if such happens, the leaver should either get less LP or just no LP at all. Getting back to the game in such circumstances is just a waste of time.
