Add AD Zhonya's Hourglass

If you have played this game for a while you might have noticed that Zhonya's Hourglass is fun and interactive item. However, the problem is that it is monopolized by AP champions so the rest cannot enjoy it. Sure, everyone can buy Stopwatch but it is only one time use and GA (item for ADC) has a long cooldown (5 minutes) and only useful if your teammates do something when you die with it. My suggestion would be to add AD version of Zhonya's Hourglass to the game. Give it some AD and some resistances (armor/mr) so it would help low health targets survive more. It could even have a new item component which would help weak early champions to scale like Seeker's Armguard does to mages (94.09% to 151.02% gold efficiency, raw stats increased via farming). Magic resistance item like that would be very useful for toplaners. If not, many would agree that items like GA or Maw of Malmortius should get reworked.

My reasons for this post:

  • Link that i provided. It shows famous streamer and youtuber Cowsep including Zhonya's Hourglass into his builds. He has a long relationship with this item and even included it on his Master Yi's builds even though Master Yi cannot utilize AP. Watching his recent videos you can notice that Stopwatch is really popular in Korea so it must be fun. In one of his videos I've seen more AD champions buy Zhonya's Hourglass even though they didn't have any AP scaling (like Riven).
  • Zhonya's Hourglass is third most popular item globally and most popular item in Korea acording to leagueofgraphs.com.
  • When Stopwatch became accessible many players began taking it as a rune showing how needed it was. It began one of the most fun meta's of all time: Stopwatch meta.
  • That time when Rengar was so weak he was forced to build tank to survive. He was so weak that he was forced to build Zhonya's Hourglass to survive even though he like Master Yi cannot properly use AP.

In conclusion, AD version of Zhonya's Hourglass would be a fun, interactive addition to the game and would help AD champions to outplay others in a way they could't before. item 2419 + item 1037 = FUN

This is wrong. Meditate (his W) scales with AP.

If we give ADs an AD version of Zhonyas we have to give mages an AP version of GA.

I knew i should of just stopped when i saw "fun and interactive item"........... No, no it is not. while not only is giving AD champs a zhonyas item a horrible idea. the real idea that riot needs to get to work on is removing the stasis effect entirely. leave it to bards ult and that it. if anything your comment on koreans building hourglass on AD champions commonly kind of proves the point that the active is way to OP to be kept in this game.
