Sudden FPS drops out of nowhere

Hey guys,

Im posting this for a friend that is in need of help. Since tuesday he is experiencing sudden fps drops which go from 60-100 to 20 fps real quick. It remains laggy for 10 seconds and then its all good again, this varies from fights to just random moments farming. He has a pretty okey pc which normally runs League at a steady 80 fps. We tried putting the focus on the pc on league and performances... we tried putting ALL of the settings on low and off... nothing is working.... If someone experienced the same issue or has any idea on how to solve this... then we would really really appreciate it

I get these issues on laptop, my fps drops often when Im near an enemy champion

This is why I never climbed through all of last season

Edit: he tried updating his graphic card because the troubleshooting told him to. He restarted his pc and now his monitor doesnt work

If your friend is having technical issues with League of Legends, the best place to post is the Help & Support sub-board. There are Player Support Specialists on hand to help address any issues that your friend may be having!

The Gameplay sub-board is primarily for discussions pertaining to things like balance, game design, etc. As such, we'll be closing this thread now.
