I wish Riot would let you boot a summoner from champ select. I can't count how many times you are in ranked and a summoner says I'm going to feed/troll etc. I think Riot should let your team boot a person from champ select. Requiring 4/5 votes to boot someone. I think this would help you enjoy the game more. Nothing is worse than once you get in a ranked game and you already know someone is going to mess up the experience, then have to play in a game for 20+ minutes in a game that the whole team is upset with.

Maybe if there was some sort of barrier other than unanimous vote, so people can't be harassed simply because they pick an unpopular champion. Like only people with a bad reputation (often having reports and kicks initiated against them) can get kicked.

In Team Builder, there is zero hesitation in kicking people until you get the champion you want in your group. If Ranked had this, it could be disastrous.

I can understand that as well, but you have to agree that there have been plenty of ranked games you have lost since someone in champ select says I'm going mid or feed. Or, in champ select trolls etc. This would be a deterrent to the trolls and would be a way to help some people from losing ranked games before they started. To be honest I just think it would be a good addition to the game. I know not everything is going to work 100% of the time, but I believe this addition to the game would benefit the gameplay.

I don't have to agree, because that isn't true. A couple, yes. Plenty? Not even.

There should definitely be something to dissuade or remove trolls, but not something that will harm innocent players.

It can't just be easy as point and kick. There's comments below to show that. But I do agree that there needs to be some way to report toxic players, trolls, or mispicks. For instance: we have a jungler, and last pick auto locks Hecarim with smite and still plays the game that way. Is he trolling? Did he pick the wrong champions? Did he drop his mouse and hit lock? Who knows, but he lost us the game, and in ranked, that kind of dumb mistake can get someone demoted or lose someone's promotionals even though they would have probably won otherwise. Especially if Hecarim is trolling, in this scenario.

That is exactly what I meant. I am not trying to get people to kick someone for just picking a sona mid for example, I want a way to boot someone who you know is trolling just like in your example. The only way I could think of booting someone was the vote. I think that if someone is not trolling such as picking a Sona mid for example, it would be hard for 4 people to vote to boot someone.
