Honestly, you can call this rant because I'm pretty much fuming at the moment.

Over the course of 10 games I've had 3 that have resulted in surrenders.

Now you're probably wondering "okay? what's your point?"

Well, I believe there needs to be a revamped surrender option or just get rid of the surrender button completely.

My Last game was the last straw, I was playing Draven and was currently 8/2/5 at 25 min.

My Lee Sin was 8/4/4 and while the rest of my team mates weren't doing so hot I knew we would have late game with ease.

But Evidently since the enemy Nid was 11/1 it was over anyways so they submitted multiple surrenders and through multiple messages telling them that we're fine just hold off until late game they didn't give a rats ass.

Just because one enemy champ is fed doesn't mean my team should just whine about dying and surrender at 25 min.

This leads me to my "solution" I suppose. Honestly I think there needs to be an increase in the surrender timer because at 20-40 min it's way too early to just give up especially when your carry is fed. Or they just need to get rid of the surrender option all together.

There has been multiple times where we have an awesome comeback, sure, it doesn't happen that often but it does.

What is everyone else's thoughts?

Pretty much any game that makes it to 40 minutes is winnable if you get 1-2 lucky engages so there's no point pushing the surrender vote to there.

It's a 4/5 vote requirement which seriously favors the people who want to continue playing. I see no issues with the current surrender system. Consider all those times you spammed no while 3 players were voting yes, and you wasted 10 or 15 minutes of their time as you bled towers and objectives trying to turtle in your base. So you got outvoted a few times, just live with it. Basic probability will have you pissing people off more often than they piss you off anyways. Just consider it a compromise in your favor.

The real problem is that its there at all. Even if you win the vote, they have already surrendered and arent likely to try very hard after the failed surrender attempt. we all know this, most of us even do it ourselves, we click the surrender button and since in our minds the game was already lost it doesnt really matter how hard i try or even if i press buttons...if there were no surrender option maybe it would be less tempting to give up?

I was contemplating and automatic forfeit at a certain gold advantage, something really hard to come back from like 10-12k

Then is someone wants to surrender they could just feed gold so the automatic FF would trigger.

Idk though because a gold advantage forfeit could screw you over. Like if they had a lee sin and a pantheon with 15 kills each I'm not too worried going into late game like I would be against a 15 kill Vlad or Azir.

If people spam surrender votes, I report them for assisting the enemy team.

For every thread like this... there are 3-4 threads that it should be easier.. eg 3-2 means surrender.. or sooner eg. 10 minutes.

Seems fine as it is.
