The problem with Diana, and the simple solution.

Hi, I'm a mid Diana main with well over 300 games on her. It's no question that Diana is in awkward limbo between AP bruser, and AP assassin. As a result of this she does neither roll perfectly. I'm suggesting a miniscule buff that will increase her play making potential as an assassin, while at the same time keeping her very balanced. My suggestion is simple, just allow Diana to use her R on ally champions, minions, and wards. This allows Diana to be able to land a Q on a low carry in a team fight, finish the kill, and then quickly reposition. Giving her this much needed mobility, also does not make her overpowered in the slightest. Diana players will have to decide if they want to sacrafice the damage of her second R on a champion, for the ability to escape the fray. Another way this is balanced is that Ally's cannot be marked with her Q. So if she has to use her R to escape, then her ult will be down for 20 seconds and she will be vulnrable, as she relies a lot on the double R damage in fights.

I would say it is a bad change.

Diana comes with a lot to make her want to be in that team fight that most assassins don't have. You are asking to give her a very strong escape.

Have to remember that even if you buff the assassin side, she still has the bruiser side.

I personally think her assassin qualities should be left alone. And change her bruiser side to counter assassins a little more. Making her the anti-assassin-assassin. She somewhat already does this with her ability to grant vision and shield herself.

LOL, gotta love how people get on these boards and want to buff already OP champions.

I think diana is pretty much fine right now. She struggles with a few matchups and her itemization can be wonky but she is by no means weak. As far as the identity crisis goes, I really think assassin diana is the only viable build if you want to do any damage whatsoever. I've posted previously about ideas for making her an assassin or a bruiser, but i don't see any change happening any time soon.

I disagree. I also disagree with sounding knowledgeable (as validated from you with 300 games played), to tweak a Champion into one persons favored limits of ability capacity. Then only to actually reduce her overall big picture full picture of Diana her skill set, as an inverted comment strategy tactic to defeat Diana in the Boards online Video Game League of Legends Riot boards discussion; because the ability to beat Diana in the boards discussions is easier when asking for buffs (which I disagree with) than to actually beat this Diana highly skilled Champion on Summoners Rift or any other map. An opinion I am allowed to own, which could own some theories, but those theories are mine to own as well.

Diana is OP right now. I can't remember a game anymore where she didn't have 20+ kills.

By that logic, we should give both Akali and Rengar the same ward/ally hopping ability, right? That can't be too broken for those champs, riiiight....?

I have always wanted this for Diana. I love her as a champion and I would like some more fallback options when playing her. Other assassins have ways to get out while also having things for survivability same as Diana does with her shield so it really wouldn't be that OP. I mean Zed has his shadows plus lifesteal and a kali has twilight shroud. Katarina has damage reduction and resets so she can shunpo out safely. Some will say Diana is beefier but only if you build her that way, her shield doesn't provide much protection. And Lee sin can jump to allies to with a much better lower CD lower cost shield. And HE does get tanky whole providing assassin quality damage.

kinda feel like she should get a new move for her E. Take the current E and just combine it into the W.

diana is very strong the way she is right now and does not need buffs in any way. i would rather reduce the mana cost of her W to 60/65/70/75/80 while increasing the cost of her Q to 50/55/60/65/70

this would make her a little more bruiser-ish while nerfing her poke but making her laning and farming safer. not much of a change but its more what diana needs. her mobility and lack of escapes are perfectly fine.
