Surrender Votes and the Majority Decision
Am I the only one who thinks it unfair that the botlane duo who fed all game can decide to hold you hostage in a surrender vote? Or the AP Olaf and Jarvan who went duo-top? Or the Tryndamere and Mundo who both just hit level 30 and don't know what they're doing? Or the Riven and Zed top and mid who both think they're god's greatest gifts to League?
Three votes should win a surrender vote. Three people are no longer having fun playing the game and want to move on with their lives. It isn't fun being forced to play a losing game and honestly every time I see the vote fail 3 to 2 I tilt so hard that it doesn't even matter if I keep playing because of how poorly I do due to how pissed off I get. As it is now, I am forced to continue playing with people I suddenly loathe with all my being in a game I was already losing (and probably already getting pissed off or depressed over) and if I stop playing or leave the game I get punished for not wanting to play a game the majority of the team has given up on. League is an infuriating game a lot of the time already, so I don't see why Riot made the system meant to help alleviate part of the stress of losing so bass ackwards.
Before you complain about there being no honor in surrender or somesuch, think of it like this: You are part of a group of 5 friends. You only have enough money to pay for one topping on your pizza. 3 of you vote for Pepperoni, 2 of you vote for Pineapple. When the call is made, one of the 2 pulls a revolver and sticks it to the back of the head of the person making the call and will pull the trigger if they don't order pineapple. That is essentially the current situation. Is it more honorable to stick a gun to someone's head and spit in the face of democracy, or to suck it up and eat the pizza with pepperoni that the majority agreed upon?
