Can we nerf zed and renagr already?

They are in every game, they are toxic 1 hit KO with no counterplay and can kill even tanky champions in the clean up because of the raw damage they have. For the love of Teemo just Olaf them!

Please. If you seriously can't figure out how to counter a Zed, you deserve to lose to them.

Here are some tips! :D

Play a safe early game. If you're bad at dodging skillshots (although his Q is really quite thin, but fast), go behind your minions so the damage is reduced.

STAY AWAY FROM HIS SHADOWS. At level 3, it's easy to get a WEQWEAA and ignite for an easy FB if you let Zed get a shadow right behind you so Zed, you, and his shadow make a line kinda. He is really good early game. Don't get in melee range when below 50% cause his passive will do lots of damage, plus he can E as he AAs so even more damage.

When he gets to 6, play even safer and sit under tower and farm from there. Most Zeds get impatient and dive after a bit. If he ults you and there's a shuriken above you, you're dead. If he dives you and you can scare him off and you survive the ult proc, AVOID THE SHADOW FROM HIS ULT. Many Zeds will use it to Q or E a barely-living enemy who they couldn't finish with their ultimate.

And when Zed ults you, remember that he'll reappear behind you, blocking your escape. This can help you CC him and aim skillshots. Also, if you know he has ult and he's fairly low, but so are you, DON'T throw out your full combo or anything as his ult will make him briefly untargetable. He will take damage from DoT effects, but not anything else when he just ulted.

Try and get a QSS if you're AD (at some point in the game) or a Zhonya's if you're AP (at some point). Group with your team during mid/late game and it'll be much harder for Zed to kill anyone. Remember he snowballs hard, so if you die once or twice, be VERY careful and ask your jungler for lots of ganks.

Also, if you're doing draft mode and need to counterpick, Talon, Liss, Cho, Kayle, Vladimir, and Fizz are all pretty good counters.

Hopefully this helps! :)

Thx!

A question I have, well, not question, is that staying away from his shadows basically means you'll be completely zoned (as a melee, sometimes even more as ranged if you don't have an escape) in early lvls.

Him appearing behind me is very helpful too, I didn't know that.

I usually rush a Zhonya's first when I'm against Zed, but usually end up giving up too many kills early so that it doesn't really matter (already past laning). It's also practically useless if the Zed has anyone else with him - if you're trying to stop the activation, that is.

About teamfights: I don't think that grouping up is a good idea - Zed has huge AOE, especially with his ult. So in teamfight, he may not be able to oneshot, but he'll do enough poke/all in that he's sill very strong.

Again, thx.

No problem!

Well, yeah, you'll be zoned if you're melee, but if you don't push, you can farm from the safety of being very close to your turret. If you're ranged, you can harass him relatively easily so long as you're careful about it and wait for him to waste Q (or even better, Q and W).

Also he can pass through minions for either 3 or 6 seconds when he ults. Not really a huge tip, but just kinda useful to know-ish (not really I'm just kinda blah).

Zhonya's really doesn't help too much if it's a 1v1 and he has more items than you do. It helps more in a teamfight because your team will lock him down while you're golden, probably.

Grouping is a good idea in the way of staying near each other, but yes, as you said, not super close. Like, you should have tanks all over the carries so they can perma CC him the second he appears when he ults, but not all right next to each other.

Again, no problem!

No, no, no and no. And, did i tell you? No!

rofl zed is the furthest thing from 1 shotting

every other assassin has faster burst than him

Serevas2 votes

Zed actually has delayed burst which can be completely nullified with item 3140

Lane phase zed has 0 counterplay. You cant rush a qss and very few champs can rush zhonyas 1st item. So for the first 25 minutes (because thats how far behind you will be against a decent zed) you can't counter him and he's already 10-0 and bursting you without using his ultimate anyway. Also, ridic easy to proc thunderlords on him every time its up even at level 2.

Dodging shurikens is impossible, as is avoiding his shadows, amirite?

How do you dodge a 1400 range fast travelling skillshot coming from 2 places?

Spizzle90001 votes

For some tips that I generally find helpful, please read that long wall of text a bit down the page. Hopefully it helps.

Just avoid getting caught between a Zed and his shadow, early on especially. A WEQWEAA ignite combo is lethal. But yeah, refer to my wall o' text. I think it's fairly useful.

Zed is fine, he's snowball reliant so unless he gets ahead in lane or snowballs off a gank he isn't going to be able to do much.

Yes yes yes a uh-huh yes

The 1 thing i hate is that qss is on a 90 second cd and zed's ult is like half that, same thing with zhonyas and rengar.

Spizzle90001 votes

Maybe late game, but mid/early game it's still around 100 seconds, which is still irritating though.
