Videos posted a year and a half ago represent the current balance of League?

If you're going to post a video to prove your point, at least make sure it's a video with the new map.

though there hadnßt been any changes to rengar...if he snowballs he can still onehit you out of nowhere. Not the greatest problem in league, but still rather frustrating to face (also frustrating for Rengar if he falls behind and doesnßt do anything).

Sorry, what? These videos are old enough there most certainly have been changes to Rengar.

  • They removed a minimum of 350 damage at level 18 from his Q in patch 4.9. That's assuming a Rengar that didn't build any AD. Prior to this the entire empowered strike could critically strike and could be used multiple times.
  • Also in 4.9 they made it so his first attack wasn't while he was mid-air, giving more reaction time.
  • Patch 4.12 fixed a bug where on-hit items could apply twice.
  • Patch 4.14 changed his stealth warning radius to be larger. It also made it so you got the warning regardless of if Rengar was in line of sight.

Like I said, pick a video made recently if you want to make a point. After you do that we can discuss the topic.

just take any halfway good rengar streamer....it´s still the same old, jump at someone and see him dissappear.

e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBu56Ig3K4s, not the best to showcase it, but i just randomly put rengar and youtube together - and even there you can easily find him just killing things in about a second. Sure, he´s snowballing - but that´s besides the point. It´s just not a healthy champ right now.

So you're saying that a fed Assassin shouldn't be able to assassinate an underfed ADC?

Ok now can we stop pretending that low elo scrubs should be allowed to talk about game balance?

Hmm so if I was diamond your opinion on the matter would change?

Forgive me if i'm wrong but wasn't Talon's silence removed because he could kill enemies and they couldn't do anything about it?

If you were diamond you probably wouldn't be complaining that a fed assassin is able to assassinate an underfed ADC.

Remember how Rengar tore apart Draven in New Dawn? That's an accurate representation of what should happen when an assassin goes up against a lone ADC. They assassinate.

At least you can QSS her stun, but you cant QSS the 1500 damage crits from Rengar's Q.

And there's next to nothing you can do against his ult. Once the '!' appears he's already in leap range, and throwing down a pink ward doesn't stop it, it just lets you see it coming. You're still helpless.

you get to watch him buttfuck you

AyRe CoNteMpT1 votes

actually his leap range is only about 600 while the warning range is 1250 so this means you have about 1 full second to react to it. one second in league is incredibly long and if you are MENTALLY PREPARED its totally possible.

sure dropping a pink, realizing where he is, moving your mouse cursor over him and throwing an ability doesnt work anymore, but you can 100% flash over a wall or into a tower or similar stuff if all other defensive measures like deepwards, pinkwards and teammates failed.

I'm constantly reminded by how balanced rengar is based on how many shit NA rengars I wind up with on my team

As a really terrible Rengar player I feel that he's just fine

Its just that I get argh whenever I cant zhonyas my viktor quick enough against a rengar like wut man i already have terrible mobility why are you picking on me

on a serious note:

Rengar as of now can truly "one shot"an ADC as long as he build IE PD and his other core stuff, which is pretty pretty pretty expensive

But I understand that when a rengar is fed, he's scary

oh did i mention his full one shot build requires bill gate's bank account?

so to sum this up yadayada:

-hard to get fed unless you're fighting a tilted person top lane or you get some sort of luck that allows you to get a couple kills pre 6 as jungle rengar cause we all know pre 6 jungle rengar is a nightmare to gank with. you either hit your bola or you dont and the only gap closer you have is if you slowly walk to some random bush to leap on the enemy while the enemy walks off

-his build is expensive and you can only know that you'll complete the one shot build if you're fed. If you're not fed, chances are you won't complete the build unless you hyper farm while the game drags on to 1000 minutes cause the enemy refuses to kill your nexus

but its ok i feel your pain dude its not fun getting instant killed by a jungle rengar who either is super pro and had a good amount of luck poured into him pre 6 or a top lane rengar who fights a tilted enemy that refuses to turret hug /cries

brb typing about this post is bringing back sad memories Viktor

i mean in soloQ its a bit hard cuz it all depends on noobs so much, but generally rengar is so bad and so predicable if not played by absolute professionals that if he gets fed enough to do this, you deserve to lose.

also, its easily counterable still by every teammember buying pinkwards and setting up defensive lines of pinks. but i guess such things cannot be expected from bronze.

You're right. Bronze players like gosu are just bad.

no matter what elo he is, he did nothing to protect himself from rengar

  1. no pinkwards ever in his inventory or placed by him on the map
  2. he didnt upgrade his trinket ever, even tho he coulda gotten a pinkward-trinket easy
  3. even after this probably wasnt his first game against a fed rengar, he didnt respect rengars power at all and kept going forward out of the protection of his team and into no-vision. if he stays basically inside chogaths model, there is no way rengar can kill him and even if he manages to kill him regardless, cho+team can instagib him too so thats not worth.

not that his team helped much but i saw at least 2 pinkwards by other players. ofcourse at least one of them was useless but man, a rengar can not assassinate anyone through 5 pinks. like i dont know what their plan was to win this game but probably none.

Earl Eulrich1 votes

yea, he´s pretty binary bullshit...but i guess they have a long list of that to work on.

I love these threads from people that haven't even tried the champion themselves.

Play it yourself, you will find out what people better than you do to counter it.

Rengar is honestly pretty basic...there's only so much he can do and he's gonna just jump at the carries every time.
