There is so much bias in this post. This is a post that someone would make after picking twitch into an enemy Akali and got stomped, then was so frustrated he/she came to the boards to vent about this "broken" obscure mechanic. Although they're also too frustrated to spell properly or make completely legible sentences.
First of all, Akali is a relatively new champion so of course she's pretty popular. Riot decided during the assassin update whether abilities should be Camo or Invis, they decided Twitch should be Camo because it lasts 8 seconds and gives him a movement speed buff aswell, so he could go invis in a teamfight and just walk right through to end up behind the enemy team. Making it camo gave him a little more skill expression and I think made him healthier.
Akali's is confined to a small area so making it camo would make no sense, she would just shroud and be revealed if anyone came near, it defeates the point of the ability. Making it invis was what it used to be, but it was lackluster supposedly to riot. It's a very unique ability and they wanted it to be more of a focus on her kit, so they made it obscure, so it could be used as a dive tool.
She's got enough backloaded damage that unless she's ahead she needs multiple rotations of her abilities to burst someone 100-0. That's one of the uses of the shroud, so she can wait for her CD's to come back.
