Playing this game for over 5 years and it NEVER felt so unbalanced before ?

Title. Missing the good old times from season 3-6 where the game was somewhat balanced and all lanes had an equal chance of winning. Hmm, I really dont know what Riot has done over the last 6-12 months.

Toplane for example. Im not really that active anymore, I play from time to time. But I see that champions like Nasus (rank 1), GP, Kayle and Teemo are the best toplaners now according to champion.gg winrates. And the oldschool classic toplaners like irelia, jax, olaf, darius, tryndamere, poppy, gnar etc. are ALL under 50%, barely playable.

Midlane the same. Zilean (rank 1), Malz and Fiddle have the highest winrates on champion.gg Classic midlaners are again mostly under 50%.

Botlane... hmm. Is there anything viable except Vayne, Kog and maybe twitch?

The new runes have put this game upside down, its completely stupid how some champions have changed with the runes. Like Klepto Ezreal or Klepto GP. Serious?

I know I know... Riot needs to change the game to keep it alive. Nobody wants to play a game that is exactly the same for years. Im aware of that. But I would expect from a company with so much money they have enough employees to actually test their changes intensively before they go live and let us paying players be the human Guinea pigs.

Been playing since a few days before Ahri's release waaay long ago, but this definitely a case of hindsight bias. Not that there's something wrong with that, but even as it is, league isn't as unbalanced as it has been in the past.

I still clearly remember the triple Q Rengar days, and the other times, where he was able to kill you so quickly you wouldn't be able to zhonya fast enough to survive even if you saw him leaping at you.

The time before Sion's rework where Sion could go full AP and be a tanky assassin with point and click CC, the times when Yasuo and Ekko were abusing tank items while still dishing out massive amounts of damage, when Deathfire grasp let things vomit absolutely disgusting amounts of damage, Ezreal when runic was an AoE lichbane, Gangplank after his rework when could take out half a team in one barrel chain, and the list goes on..

The real difference is that the most of the unbalanced champions this time around don't have a history of being majorly abusive, while the ones we're used to being abusive aren't really in the spotlight.

You forgot the most annoying thing: Fizz tank.

Ezreal got hotfixed though, so it didn't last long.
