What was the point of the newer client?

I feel like the thing is so buggy more so than the old one. Also modes like hexakill don't work on it and even though we get skin events and whatnot it just feel like we gotten less modes than before. but but my main issue is all the errors that happen on it, its one of the most annoying things ever. specially when you finish a match and you get an error when you try to join a new one that it says you already in a match. Beside the visuals it isn't really an improvement.

edit:some typos

We were promised before it was forced on everyone, that it would be ready. It would run well on lower end machines, and it would allow Riot more control and freedom on the under the hood side of things. I can;t speak to the coding aspect, but as far as everything else goes? It has kept none of those promises. It runs like ass, I've literally gotten kicked out of champ selects because as I'm trying to ban a champion after selecting it, the button is still fucking grayed out as it's trying to register that I actually clicked something to ban. I've gotten complaints about client performance from people with computers that would completely destroy mine in benchmark tests. It's a horrible design and it never should have been implemented.

I hear the reason they wanted to ditch the old client was because Internet Explorer was getting decommissioned and the League Client store ran on Internet Explorer. If that really is the case, I wish they had just redesigned the store instead...

So they could have a shinier, flashier new store at the expense of your processor and your sanity lols.

So they could shove a friends list in your face because some corporate consumer-psychology-consultant told them people are invested more deeply and for longer in things their friends do.

To delete Hexakill. One less fun game mode to compete with LC$ Simulator. They'll keep us sim'd the fuck up with the 'Poros, Nexus Siege, Poros, Nexus Siege, Poros, Nexus Siege, ARURF, Poros, Nexus Siege, Poros, Nexus Siege', when they're kind enough to even allow us to play their precious vaulted RGMs.
