It would make more sense thematically if Daisy burrowed back into the ground rather than dying.
Wouldn't Ivern want Daisy to escape when she's fought all she can rather than dying?

Daisy doesn't die. She waves like a goodbye gesture and then fades, probably because having her actually walk off would be too ambiguous gameplay wise to tell if she's alive and being commanded or "dead".
EDIT: lmao why is this downvoted
You're thinking of her despawn animation, she has one for death as well. At least I think so
It does have a death animation.
It's so sad because even when Daisy dies, Ivern says "Bye Daisy !" BUT MAN LOOK AT HER SHE IS SUFFERING
Like really, nothing else to say than Bye ?

Ivern is secretly a heartless soul who enjoys the torment of others.
His skin proves this!
She waves if she times out. Best thing ever.
I think she should just run toward the nearest blue pit and fade away.
There's a difference between Blue Sentenials and normal ones, I believe.
In Ivern's quote, he tries to be the wingman of daisy and blue.
oh my, he's a shipper too? I like him already.
What are you implying?
same with the jungle monsters ivern frees, they jsut fade from reality
It would make more sense If daisy had AI.
