Daily reminder Sona has a 69% winrate in ARAM

Just because it's random doesn't mean it's justified that a champion has a nearly 70% winrate in ARAM. Certain champions were banned from URF because they were cancer to play against and had an inflate win rate, but Sona has been like this for years. RITO pls nerf.

Better nerf Ornn passive. But seriously, even on reddit people complained about it. Even some "Rioters" (no idea how you call them) could read it, since it was in a topic they were active. They pretended not to see it. You can read complaints about Sona on ARAM on the forums since 2014. I really don't get it.

Daily reminder that ARAM is a for fun unbalanced game mode and champions should in no circumstances be crippled in primary game modes due to their performance in ARAM.

Of course we could do per-map balancing as promised long time ago, but that got shafted because fuck TT, ARAM and Dominion (RIP) players.

well the thing is, nowadays ARAM is just fucked up. Warmog shouldn't be allowed in this mode firstly : if you can't back, why can an item give you the right to be full hp after a few seconds outside a fight ? (Don't tell me "it's to count poke teams", a Mundo can poke for years, go in, chunk 3/4 of your hp while almost dying, go back and be full hp in a matter of second. Soraka, well I don't even need to explain).

Oracle elixir can easily turn a 5v5 into a 4v5 for 300 golds (ruining a champ's ult, Teemo or Talon, for 300 golds isn't what I'd call "counterplay", or even an entire kit. I loved to play Shaco in the past, but nowadays it's just purely useless once the enemy gets Oracle).

Sona doesn't require any skill to play, she isn't fun to play, neither fun to play against. She sits at 70% winrate for years, meanwhile Riot buffed Nasus stacking "but we don't do any map specific balance anymore" (as I said earlier, they nerfed Ornn passive on ARAM the day he came out, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't nerfed).

Last thing, ARAM only accounts. This guy there claimed that ARAM only accounts don't exist (his club name was "ARAM") but let's give a look at his match history : https://i.gyazo.com/f117d03cf806954835dc62fb1539c9bc.png Riot claimed months ago that they were a big problem, but still didn't do anything. If you go back to 2015 in the forums, you can find numerous people asking to unlock the full champ pool, yet Riot again pretends not to see anything.

I mostly play ARAM, and people claiming "who gives a fuck, it's just ARAM" are a bunch of selfish kids.

I do play ARAM a lot myself too, and yes, it's fucked up. Broad map-specific changes (not things once-in-a-blue-moon like Orrn or minion kill stacking) aren't an option since Riot tried that and gave up, in the end completely deleting a game mode rather than attempting to balance it or curb random botting.

And Sona is one of my favorite champions anyway - if I have to endure her being broken in ARAM is the price to pay for her being viable, then so be it. Without map-specific balance you just can't nerf a champion who is overperforming only in a mode like ARAM; for every person playing ARAM they'd please with that change there'd be hundreds of SR Sona players they'd piss off. It's just not worth it.

About ARAM only accounts I fully agree, but Riot has repeatedly shown that they do not give a damn so I've completely given up on the idea ever being implemented. Don't want to piss off smurfs spending to get all the broken champions quickly, right?

Who ever said she had to be crippled in SR because of her ARAM performance? Map specific nerfs or full on banned from ARAM would work just fine.

Riot said it themselves. A few seasons ago they had announced map-specific balance changes and did them for a patch or two (for example Kassadin had longer R cooldown on TT and Dominion) before discontinuing those. Apparently balancing for a small percentage of players was too much work for little reward so they did away with the idea completely, going back to balancing solely around SR.

If it was up to me there'd be like 20 champs banned from ARAM lol. I play it a good bit still though for just a good time and it forces me to try new things. Certainly are some unbalanced champs in it though.
