The Unseen Shuriken

In one of Redmercy's video he talks about a new zed mechanic called the unseen shuriken. Later on it was patched and now you can't use this trick anymore, so I was wondering why did riot do that? All champions have their different abilities and mechanics, so how come we cant use these new tricks? Aren't these tricks supposed to show how different each champion is. When players find these new tricks and it's op does riot change it so that the champion will be balanced?

I mean, he says it himself : "assuring the double q, almost instantly". If you can't dodge it, why would it be a skillshot at all?

On a champion like Ashe or Garen who are really straightforward i'd be lenient about letting unforeseen extras in the game if they didn't screw with the winrates/quality of play and counterplay a lot, but someone like Zed has already too much to work with even if he's not the worst offender.

An example of really bad 'mechanics' that screw with the champion is Riven's Q animation cancel with taunts. It's unfun to play against, makes Riven impossible to balance correctly and lends her an extra 'active' in a sense, which is totally unfair to a lot of other, potentially similar champions.

"mastery" mechanics/glitches that reduce counterplay, don't affect decision-making, and unnecessarily gate lower level players should be stamped out wherever they're found
