Ultimate Timers

I know that it already shows when someone's ultimate is up or down, but why not add a timer next to it or when you hover over the dot just to see when it will be back up. Usually, someone must ask in team chat, "When will your ult be up?" but sometimes there is no time for that... such as when your team is approaching the enemy team at dragon or something like that. Thoughts?

You know the little green dot by the side of your champion name that already indicates whether an ulti is up? Why not instead turn it into a cooldown indicator that slowly fills up as the ability cools down? Doesn't consume extra space on the HUD, no need for smart pings "ult in 20" sort of thing.

Nice, great idea. And For the record, good job on the green dot Riot. I love it!

riot should do that ^

Riot should just do what curse voice used to do for ults (you could see a timer next to the champion portrait).

what would happen with an ult like Akali Anivia Jayce Elise Kassadin Udyr Nidalee

Riot should, there's no reason we shouldn't know the cooldown of our allied ults, given how much of a game changer those things are

Curse Voice used to do this but it was removed in order to comply with Riot's ToS since it gave an unfair advantage.

Bring the conversation back! I just started a new thread about this!

What they should do is allow it that when you click on an ally champ, it shows the full champ menu (like when you click on a champ in spectator). show the ability icons with CDs. it would take barely more space in the corner, and would only be visible when you click on the champ, so it wouldn't crowd the screen during gameplay.

but sometimes there is no time for that...

taking half a second to write the cd is sooooo time consuming.

it would be too much information, teamfights would never happen because people would just go "let's wait 30 sec for Maokai ult" "oh Mao ult is up, but let's wait 30 more for Zed ult now" etc... and then the team that just had more teamfight ultimates would automaticly win. You already have to keep track of Dragon and sometimes Baron timers before starting fights for the risk of giving the enemy team a free very important objective.
