Is Anyone Else Hating On DarkStar?

It's kind of annoying. I'm not a big fan of the game, it's a very . . . hard gamemode when you're paired with people who never throw lanterns, can lands hooks, nor almost anything else.

I'm just waiting for Urf and Ascension. Idk why league doesn't just continue with those two, and make other one's game mode. Everyone (almost) loves urf, and would like it to be an all-year-round-slaughter-fest.

As for Ascension, it's like a better ARAM.

So riot should be able to add a game mode for at least 3 at a time? Just so there is variety. Also, league's output on gamemodes aren't really - league anymore. The Star Guardian event didn't feel like . . league! I believe that putting out multiple game modes would rid that problem. You could put out those less-league-ones, but also have ones that stick more to the genre.

Anyways my main point is I'm just not a big fan of this game mode, and wish for the more likable ones. I went back to summoner's rift within 1 game, i almost didn't make it through that game without dying. I think that Urf, One For All, or Ascension would be better in this case. It's easier, more fun, and MUCH more popular.

Not even close. URF is fun in short doses, but it gets stale incredibly quickly.

What? How? It's a much shallower Dominion (yet somehow closer to Dominion than Definitely Not Dominion) and very little like ARAM.

Also, league's output on gamemodes aren't really - league anymore. The Star Guardian event didn't feel like . . league!

What does "league-like" mean? Modes that play like SR? That significantly hampers creativity and just results in lackluster modes that inherit SR's inherent flaws.

Should League Add Multiple Game Modes?

Yes and no. It provides short-term variety, but commits more dev resources towards maintenance. If Riot's willing to provide more resources to non-SR modes, that might not be an issue. However, the more likely situation is that Riot cuts back on developing new modes, resulting in less long-term variety.

I'm just going off the things my friends have said. I hang out with a large majority of people, and they all seem to want league to release Urf all-year.

And for the other one, ARAM is like Ascension because it's a 5 v 5, no towers, etc.

And the last one, What I meant by league-like is like "5v5, Items, team vs team,"

And I understand that league should have more variety like this, but there are tons of free games that can provide things like that.

And it doesn't bother me as long as it's a in-and-out game mode. For an eternal one though, i think it'd suck.

Someone said Aatrox was great in DarkStar.

Ascension is nothing like ARAM, not even slightly. I'm sure you meant Poro King, which I wouldn't say is any better than ARAM. However, I do agree that LoL could currently use more game modes, especially with how rigid SR and 3v3 have become over the years.
