Why can't we get a "Loss Prevented" when a teamamate DC's?

Could anyone please explain the reasoning behind this?

Because if that happened people would scream for someone to DC every time a game goes south...

Abuse. That's pretty much it.

Abuse isnt the main reason. It's because the math simply wouldnt add up. If you would start handing out loss preventions to only one team while the other one gains lp, the lp would essentially inflate. So in the end you would gain less lp overall meaning you have to win more games in order to climb so you really havent changed anythig. You simply cant solve this problem efficient or riot would have done so long ago. Just deal with the dc / afk and move onto the next game

Loss prevention seems a bit much. Maybe make the team that lost suffer less LP cost while giving the troll/dc/afk player twice or triple as much LP loss. Nobody would be able to abuse that

internet is also skill, so is pc and game client.

You dc, you are at fault... ( if is a server problem, everyone dc, not only one )

Because "muh abuuuuse cases".

The Deckowner3/25/2016, 4:22:18 PM1 votes

Because people will abuse it and the system cant detect if the person is actually dc or just intentionally left game

Say your team is losing. Why not just dc? That way you can't lose any LP!
