Queue dodgers rights!

I think Riot has failed to distinguish between queue dodgers and leavers/AFKers. The latter is obviously very toxic and honestly isn't punished enough. However, is it not also toxic to force people who do NOT want to be on the team to play it out?

I don't mind the LP loss or it counting as the promotional series loss. What I don't like is we have to wait to queue again. It is punishing players who are trying to prevent a toxic situation from happening. Dodgers are more healthy to league of legends than they sound and dodging is one of the few tools players have to combat toxic situations. Why punish us for using it?

The only thing I think dodging is bad for is ARAM, which violates the spirit of all random because people are fishing for champions. Those games need to be silly or they wouldn't be All-Random-All-Mid anymore.

Honestly, there should be NO timing penalties for dodging ranked outside the LP loss, which is sufficient. It is stupid that this very important tool for combatting toxicity is taken from our hands and even being treated as undesirable.

If he has the wisdom to discern that his team can't pick champions worth crap and the enemy can, then he honestly doesn't belong with them. It's a great reason to encourage that kind of dodging too in the spirit of letting ELO run its course.

Now if people dodged just because they got counterpicked in lane and want a cooler laning experience, then I guess its annoying. But they still are going to eat LP for that and it is bad to do if you have a winning comp even though you specifically got a hard lane. But if someone dodges for that reason every time, they'll be dodging more and dropping LP more. Wouldn't that also be in the spirit of letting ELO run its course?

I think the time penalty does more harm than good, on all, but yes I accept the system does not know the person's reason every time.

But how would you or the system know that reasoning for the dodge? i mean i can see it be abused by seeing your enemy team and just dodging because of that but stating it was because of a trolled teammate! just seems iffy in the long run. If you are that worried about random/soloQ i think common sense would state to just make a group of friends and play together!

Any time dodging becomes useful against toxicity, troll picking goes absolutely crazy. You see, people don't really want to play revive/teleport Teemo support. They want you to dodge for them. If nobody dodges, most potential trolls decide it isn't worth it, and few trolls happen. If people start dodging the trolls, they come out of the woodwork.
