League Client Did Not Start After Champion Select

I started a Ranked game today and everything was going fine until the match started after champion select. After everyone chose their champions the game started however, the in-game screen never started up. I literally clicked on the LoL App again to relog in but I was brought to the home page. As I looked at my status it said I was in-game but I couldn't do anything about it. I restarted and logged in again same thing. Closed LoL Client, relogged and the match was remade and I lost LP for it. _ **Why do I lose LP for the Client not starting up? **_ **This is unacceptable. ** This needs to be looked at Riot

Same happened to me right now, the game was loading a bit longer, i had 90% and after a while it showed Remake. Usually i don't have this problem, it's rare. But i lost LP same as you and i'm angry.

A way to fix this is to open task manager after you notice that the game hasn't opened and to end the league of legends process under background processes and then relog into the client and then it should load the game. Whilst this method does fix this bug, it's still stupid that this bug should still exist in 2019.

This problem plagued my computer for a solid 3 months but I finally found out today it was being caused by an old antivirus on my computer that had begun blocking it, so using the windows fixes of disabling my firewall and all that was worthless. The best advice I can give is to go into your program list in control panel and find your antiviruses and uninstall them and give it a shot. It was an immediate fix, I was just looking at the 'reconnect' button for probably 10 minutes but the game opened the exact moment I uninstalled 'Bitdefender' (in this exact case).
