Also it would help strategize pre-game in solo Que where you don't have as much time as you do with premades.

It would be way easier to create strategies for beating the enemy team :D

It would also encourage people to stay at their computer, rather than walking off and being five minutes last to game.

I'd rather have an old school game of pong vs my lane opponent.

I believe this is probably something Riot would avoid implementing.

A year or two back they removed ping indicators for each player besides your own to avoid people flaming others for having bad connections at the beginning of the match.

After looking closely at the data, it seems that showing pings during loading can add toxicity to games before they even begin. Ultimately we came to the conclusion that removing the ping display on champion load screens would lead to a healthier community overall, so we acted on it." I feel like a chat in the loading screen would be reverting that change and allowing people to attack those that take extended periods of time to load.

Riot already said no because of the amount of strain this would cause on peoples computers.

I THINK the only reason they dont have it yet is cuz of loading times but yes, it would be helpful

The loading screen is where I run to the bathroom and then get a snack/drink for the game, almost every game. If it wouldn't hurt loading times then I would support it, but it also opens a situation where people will ignore the chat. I'm sure it's happened to all of us where someone goes AFK after locking in their champion, ignoring the "top or mid?" question.

I would entirely support this we should to the OP here; provided it didn't mess with loading times. I often minimize my LOL client and watch a stream or something while it loads. The loading screens are boring.

Go pee, alt tab and watch a short video, stand up and stretch, go grab a beer, play a game on your phone

^All things that I do during load screen to keep my occupied. You should try something similar.

Alternatively you could always take the time to spend a few quiet moments thinking. It doesn't hurt to just sit in silence and think about life sometimes. It's really healthy for you, actually.

There are some problems with that. While the game is being loaded, the individual players are getting packets from the server. If this was interrupted, by a message, then it would pause the packet transfer and cause extreme loading times. Not to mention chat integration with something that was designed to be a simple loading screen.

Alternatively, You can open your client and send a message that way while in game. It also works.
